Correcting Love

Guilt and shame are not ways that God corrects us.  If that is what you feel then dump that and receive the correction God offers; His love.

I asked God to show me His love and the next thing I know He is correcting me and showing me things in my life that needed changing.  However, I realized that the guilt and shame that used to accompany correction was not present.  Then I realized that His love comes through correction and discipline.  Not the beat down, beat up, cut up and punishment I was so used to.  I had lived for so long outside the protection of His love that I just thought it was a way a life to have one disaster after another and feel so bad, so down, depressed and no good for anything.  I felt anything but loved.  No more! I am beginning to experience His love in a way I haven’t before; not at home, church, or anywhere else.  Not to say it wasn’t there and available, because it was, I just didn’t have my heart tuned in.  I had allowed Satan to tear me up for so long and call it Jesus.  He is a liar and the father of lies.  I see the truth of my life and it isn’t in condemnation and punishment.  Rather it is in the correction and discipline of a loving God.

I hope that this helps you in some way.  I could keep going but I really don’t like just talking about me, but today was different.  This has totally engulfed me and know there is yet more to come.  What are you feeling in your life today? Is it a loving God or a lying devil?

Due Season

Tired of being frustrated and irritated with your life?  Tired of always being on the outside looking in?  Tired of thinking about what could have been or should have been? Then this is your day.

If we are honest with ourselves and others, we would all say we have been in this place at one time or another.  You may be in that place right now.  I have to really guard my mind against getting in that place.  I walked to of the gym the other day, it was rainy and overcast and I just said to God; “I am tired of being a nobody, a wannabe, average, unnoticed and unappreciated for what I do.” Now you may never feel this way or say that, but I do at times.  It’s not about being in the center of attention or the star, but just knowing that what you do is helping others.  I want to see some good fruit from my work.  I am ready for ‘what goes around comes around’ to be a good thing.  I want to enjoy the reaping what I sow.  I know all in due season.  Frustration and impatience on my part is a sign of pride that has to go.  I want to encourage you today by telling you; you are not unnoticed or unappreciated.  In due season you will see the fruit of what you are doing. God has an awesome plan and purpose for your life.  Give Him His time with you to prepare you.  Be patience; be still, listen and wait on God.  He hans’t forgotten about you. You are in the forefront of His mind.  He is thinking about you all the time.  Your best and greatest days are yet ahead.  Enjoy this season for what it is doing in you.  You are full of awesome, wonderful, marvelous destiny!

Battle for the Mind

There is a war going on, a massive battle taking place.  Where at you ask; in our mind.  There is daily warfare taking place in our mind everyday.

I know on my part, I deal with mental battles everyday. Some days are better than others, but the opportunity is there each day.  It is our choice what we allow into our minds.  For me, I deal with the rejection mindset. I deal with feeling not good enough.  However, I don’t have to believe it.  I know that I am accepted and that I am good enough to do what I am called to do.  There are so many that can’t seem to win the mental battle.  There is nothing worse than having a defeated mindset.  Mental battles can leave you at the point of depression.  They can rob you of physical energy and ultimately of your destiny.  The enemy of your destiny knows that if he can keep you tied up mentally; you will never live your destiny.  We have to replace the lies of the enemy with the truth of God.  We have to believe what our Creator says about us rather than what the destroyer says about us.  It sounds easy, but I do understand it can be very difficult.  Let’s work together to build one another up and win the battle of the mind.

Season of Change

Today is a great day to do inventory.  Let’s look inside our heart to see if there is anything that needs to be taken out.  As we move into the last part of the first month of the our discovering our destiny year; let’s make sure we don’t just go through the motions.

For us to have the greatest year ever we have to make changes along the way.  We need to check ourselves and make sure we aren’t going to do a repeat of the years past.  Many people will say that want to make changes but they don’t ever go through with it.  It is not easy to make changes, that is the sad reason why many folk never live in their destiny.  I see people all the time talk about they need to make some changes in their life, but as time goes by, they are right back where they were.  We get comfortable in our mess, in our stuff.  Even while we are talking about how bad it is and how much we don’t like it; we stay right in the middle of it.  Let’s go for it today! Begin taking the inventory process today and see what needs to change.  Together we can make the changes need and live our destiny!

Hope is Key

Life without hope is no life at all.  Hope is a cornerstone of our life.  So make sure you keep hope alive.

We have to maintain hope in our life.  Our destiny will never be full if we don’t have the hope of destiny in our heart.  Hope will keep you going when it is the darkest in your life.  For me hope is a living, breathing thing.  Thing probably is not the best word to use, more like a person.  Hope is not some mystical something or another that no one knows.  Let hope come alive in you.  Allow hope to give you the inner energy that your destiny requires.  When you factor in hope to your situations in life, you will never give up.  Hope will encourage you to keep on getting back up.  Hope is like the resuscitator that will keep you alive.  Hope will give CPR to your spirit.  Hope is an essential part of a destiny person’s daily life.  Don’t go another day without hope.  Never lose hope!

Peace and Joy

Many of us have been hurt, wounded, disappointed and broken hearted in our lives.  Some of you may be in that place right now.  Today; allow forgiveness, restoration, reconciliation, hope, and love heal you.

We all have been in that place, but we don’t have to stay there.  Today is the day to receive what we need.  We need to have peace and joy no matter what has or is happening in our life.  We can’t control so much what happens to us, but we have full control of what happens in us.  I know from my own life that I need healing in areas.  So today, I stand with you as we break out of the place we have been in and move toward peace and joy.  There is a peace and a joy that we can have even in the worst of times.  Nothing can replace it.  Don’t go another day without the peace and joy you so deserve.  For some we have to humble ourselves and ask others to forgive us.  For some we have to forgive those that have hurt us so deeply.  Today is your day. I proclaim it! Healing is yours, peace is yours, and joy is yours.  Accept it! Hold on to it with all your heart.  I stand in agreement with you right now! Together we can walk in our destiny with peace and joy.

Today is Your Day

Here we are at the half way point of the month. Can you believe it? We just celebrated New Year’s and month one is half gone. We started strong this year. I hope you haven’t lost your momentum.

I have talked to so many folk that have lost their faith, their focus, their perspective on their future.  They don’t believe anything great and awesome will ever happen to them.  Some of you may be thinking that maybe someday in the far off future something good might happen to me.  The thing is this; today could be the day that something great, wonderful, and awesome happens in your life.  You have to be expecting it, believing for it, speaking it into existence.  We have to do our part in our destiny.  Your super breakthrough day is right here! Don’t doubt it or say stuff that causes it to be delayed another day.  You have seen it happen for others, but not for you.  Do you believe that it could happen today? Are you ready and prepared for it to happen today? Have you made preparation in your life to handle the fullness of your destiny? Get your expectation and hopes up for your day is so close.  Get everything that is holding you back out of your life.  Remove all the unnecessary weights and get ready!  Be of good courage, faith, and strength because it will take it.  Today is your day to believe in your destiny without any restraints.

Grace for the Race

Grace enables us to find our place; so we can run the race and not fall on our face.  Ah, I am a poet and didn’t know it.  I rhyme all the time.  OK, ok sorry about that. We have been given grace to live our destiny.

Before we were born our route or plan had already been designed.  How we go about it or the most part I believe is up to us.  Grace is what protects us as we find our way toward our destiny.  To say you can be or do anything you want to be or do is not exactly correct.  Follow me here, if we are created by God, which I believe we all were, then He has a plan for us.  So if we decide to go against that plan we are going against God.  Granted that is our choice, just saying if we want to live our destiny to the fullest then we will do what He created us to do.  I am not saying we don’t have choice in our lives, we have complete choice.  However, if we don’t want to have frustration and confusion in our live then we will do what we were put here to do.  Sounds complicated a little bit, but it’s really not.  If it is your destiny to be an actress or a football coach then be an actress or football coach.  If you are supposed to be an electrician you will never be happy as a brain surgeon.  That’s my point. Be what you were created to be.  Do what you were created to do.  That grace I mentioned earlier will make a way for you. You have an awesome destiny and life yet to live.  Your best days are yet to come!

Adversity Will Come

We are going to face adversity in life.  There isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t have to deal with some sort of situation; some more severe than others, but we still have to deal with them.

The true measure of a person of destiny is how we deal with the problems of life.  Do we give up and say it’s just too hard to deal with this or do we take the challenge on and learn from it.  A champion, a winner doesn’t make excuses or complains about their life, but keeps on getting back up and moving forward.  See we all have to deal with stuff, no matter if you are a person who is living their destiny or not. So why not go ahead and do what it takes to make a difference in this world.  Problems are going to come no matter who we are.  It’s just all in how we look at them. A person of destiny will look at these situations as an opportunity to learn, grow, and move toward our destiny. Let’s learn together and support one another as we live our destiny.
