The Right People

There are some people that God has placed in your life to help you reach your destiny.

They may not know you very well, but they may introduce you to someone or put in a good word for you with someone you need to be connected with. They may have wisdom or advice that will thrust you forward in life. We have to remember that these divine appointments have been orchestrated by the God of your destiny. Divine appointments aren’t always the people you would expect. In fact, oftentimes they are the people you don’t expect — a woman at the grocery store, an intern at the office, someone who may seem to be less influential. But, God can give anyone an idea. God can use anyone to make a connection. We should always be open to receive from others. We should always treat everyone we encounter with dignity, honor and respect. You never know who God is going to use in your life. So be open, be loving, be kind and sow good seeds that will open the doors to His divine appointments. Have you met anyone today?

Showing Appreciation

Showing sincere appreciation to someone can be life changing.

I recently had the pleasure of watching someone show another person how much they appreciated them. I really don’t think the person showing the appreciation knew just how it meant to the other. This person has been going through some tough times. The timing was perfect too. You never know when you take the time to show someone how much they mean to you; what it is doing in their heart and mind. People are hurting and most never show it. So when you take the time to show them attention and love; it is bringing healing to them. It also helps you when you show appreciation. You reap what you sow; so you will be reaping healing in your own life as well. If you treat everyone you meet like they were hurting you will be right 80% of the time. 8 out of 10 people you come in contact with every day are dealing with some type of hurt and pain. Take time today to notice others and show them how much you care. It doesn’t take long to show appreciation to someone. You could be making a life changing difference in their live. Are you showing appreciation today?

Be Thankful

Are you giving thanks in every circumstance?

This might seem like a stretch at first, especially when you are going through tough times. I’m not saying to give thanks “for” everything, but give thanks “in” everything. In other words, no matter what’s going on, find something to be thankful for. Don’t just focus on what’s wrong in your life; focus on what is good in your life. That’s why we should always have the attitude that says, “God, in spite of what’s happened, I choose to be grateful. I may be sick, but, thank You for being my healer. Thank you for giving me great friends and family.” Or, “I may be struggling in my marriage, but God, thank You for being my restorer. Thank You for giving me another sunrise.” As you give thanks in everything, you will see God’s hand move mightily on your behalf, and you’ll come out of that difficulty better, stronger and wiser than before. Are you being thankful today?

Living With Regret

I read a report from a nurse who takes care of people who are close to death.

She asked hundreds of patients in the last twelve weeks of their life what their biggest regret was. The number one regret reported was, “I wish I had been true to who I was and not just lived to meet the expectations of others.” How many people today are not being true to who God created them to be simply because they are afraid they’re going to disappoint somebody? They’re afraid they may fall out of someone else’s good grace. They worry about not being accepted into a certain group. I say this respectfully, but you cannot live trying to be who your parents want you to be, or who your boss wants you to be, or who your friends want you to be. You’ve got to stay true to who God has called you to be. Today, make the decision to live life with no regrets. Surrender yourself wholeheartedly to who God created you to be. Let Him mold and shape your character. Let Him order your steps. As you submit your ways to Him, He will shine down on you, and you will live the fulfilled, abundant life He has prepared for you. Are you living with regrets today?

Pressure Situations

You can choose to act patiently even while the feeling of frustration tempts you to act in a way you don’t want to.

Being patient in the heat of the moment is a key to being successful. When you are able to keep your cool and peace when the pressure is on is important. Whether you’re in athletics, business, school or any other area; staying cool when the heat is on will take you to the top. When others are going to pieces you are able to keep it together and make good decisions. The choice is yours how you act when things go wrong. You don’t have a choice in what happens in life for the most part, but the way you respond to adversity is all up to you. If you are going to be the person you were born to be, then you have to be in charge of your emotions. How you act in the adverse times will determine how far you go in your destiny. Work on your mental toughness and be the champion you desire to be. How are you acting under pressure today?

Pushing Buttons

More often than not, the person who really makes our life difficult is pushing a button that reminds us of somebody we do not want to be.

We all have an inner person that comes out sometimes that we really don’t like. There have been times when I would say or do something that would show me that there are still issues inside of me that I don’t like. So what is the answer to getting this “person” out of us? I think if we start acting more like the person we are becoming; we will see positive results. The saying is; stop pulling weeds and keep planting grass. The more of the truth and positive we put in, the less of the negative we will demonstrate. We want to get to the point to when our buttons are pushed we respond in the way we want to. We want to respond in a positive way. It may not be how we want to respond at first but in time the good will prevail over the bad. You got this! Become the person you were meant and created to be. Is someone pushing your buttons today?

The Storms of Life

What do you do when the storms of life seem to be raging against you?

One time Jesus was with His disciples in a boat out on the water when they came into a major storm. The disciples were very afraid but Jesus, on the other hand, was asleep. When the disciples woke Him up to see if He could help them, Jesus got up and simply spoke to the storm, “Peace! Be still.” And the seas were calm again. When difficult times come, you don’t have to be overwhelmed by the waves of worry or fear. Just as Jesus stood up and spoke to the storm, you have power in your words, too. God has given you His authority to declare peace over your home, over your mind, and over your family. Remember, no matter what storms may come against you, God lives on the inside of you. How you handling the storms of life?

Doing a Work

Sometimes when God is doing a work in our lives, it can begin to feel a little uncomfortable.

We may encounter people who are hard to get along with or have circumstances that seem beyond our control. When this happens, instead of complaining, getting sour or trying to change everything around you, why don’t you look deep inside and say, “Lord, thank You for doing a work in me.” See, I’ve learned that God is more interested in changing me than He is in changing my circumstances. If I choose to stay sour because I’m not getting my way or discouraged because things aren’t happening on my time table, that’s going to keep me right where I am. If you want to see change the key is to bloom right where you’re planted. You can’t wait until everything gets better before you decide to have a good attitude. You have to be the best that you can be right where you are. When you bloom where you’re planted, you’re allowing God to work in you, and He will be faithful to complete what He’s started in you. Are you letting God do a work in you?

Peace With Others

In life, we’re always going to have critics.

We’ll always have difficult people who try to upset us and steal our peace and joy. But, you don’t have to respond to every critic. You can decide to take the high road and do what’s right. Sometimes, no matter what you say or do, there are people who aren’t going to accept you. They just don’t want to be at peace with you. If you will do your best to be at peace with people, even if they won’t take your peace, the good news is that peace will just come back to you. You’ll not only get your peace, but you’ll get their share as well! That’s double for your trouble! When you do the right thing no matter what is happening, God sees it and rewards it. Today, stay in peace, cease from strife, and take the high road. Sow good seeds into others and watch the harvest of blessing come to your own life in return. Are you at peace with others today?

The Real You

Only when you see yourself as you really are, can you begin to shape the person you were created to be.

Sometimes we have a hard time seeing ourselves the way we really are. Do you know the real you? Until you know the real you can you begin to become the person you were meant to be. You were created with a purpose, with a destiny. There is a specific reason for you having been born. Don’t let your life pass you by without fulfilling your purpose. You haven’t started living until you know who you are and why you are here. You were born with a gift that no one else can use just like you. Just as you have a unique DNA, you have a unique gift and a special way of doing things. No one can do what you do the way you do it. Don’t allow the enemy to stop you with doubt about yourself and your ability. Yeah you have had some down times, some bad loses, some not so good seasons in your life, but get back up and get moving again. Not sure what to do, Do Something. Once you get going forward again, you will find your groove. I am proud of you for not giving up! Are you ready to see the real you today?
