Numbness

I see the numbness in people’s faces, only to be out done with the pain they are feeling.  I see the confusion, the frustration, the doubt, the hurt, the fear in their face and body language.

We try to look like we got it all together. We smile and say all the right things.  Are you thinking that I am talking about you? Well, I am; only if I am.  Take courage today that your situation is only going to last as long as you let it.  Make today the today you come out of that place.  You have a wonderful destiny ahead of you; so we have to stand up, head up, and face our situation knowing you are coming out.  You have what it takes to come through your situation like a champion.  Allow the truth to be known; you are valuable, useful, worthwhile and needed.  You do have the goods.  You do have what is needed inside you right now to walk out your destiny.  Don’t let the mess you have to go through in your life stop you today.  Get your game on today!

All Broke Up

I used to think that I could inspire others by my having it all together & all that. Now I know that my inspiring/motivating others will come from my brokeness, restoration, and reconciliation. I am proof God does restore one to their destiny and purpose.

Everybody likes to hear about people who are successful. However, everybody loves to hear about a person’s failures and how they overcome them.  When I realized that that my failures and mistakes didn’t disqualify me from inspiring others, but it qualified me.  The same is for you too.  Your past does not negate you from reaching your destiny.  We all have made mistakes and have things in our past that we wish weren’t there.  Well, they are always going to be there.  It is the overcoming our past and using it to push us up and forward that counts.  If your past is not pushing you up and forward, but holding you down and back, then you have to make peace with your past.  If there are areas of your past that are still haunting you, then today is your day to confront and make peace with it.  Take the negative power away from your past.  Make the negative a positive.  Today is your greatest day and tomorrow looks even better.

Been There

I want to encourage people, offer hope, love, purpose to those that are hurting. I have been discouraged, without hope, love or purpose.

I have been in a place in life where I had no hope, I was hurting, feeling unloved and with no purpose for my life.  I don’t ever want to go to that place again and I don’t want you there either.  If you realize today that you are there, then good news is here; you don’t have to stay another day.  You can get up and get out today.    For most of us it is simply changing our mindset; our perspective.  In some cases it does mean a physical move, but even in that case there will be a change of mindset and perspective.  Today is your day for a change. Be encouraged right now! You are loved, you have hope, and a very specific purpose and destiny.  Don’t go another minute believing that you are not wanted or needed.  You do have a destiny!

Story Time

We all have a story to tell. No one wants to be left out, abandoned, unwanted or unappreciated. Take the time today to listen to someone’s story. Show them the love, the appreciation, and the love that we all desire.

The more I am involved in writing this blog, book projects, and other stuff, the more I see that it is a fact; we all have a story to tell.  Many people’s story is full about hurt, disappointment, failure, and pain.  That’s where we can offer the healing, hope, forgiveness, and love to those who’s story is not happy for now.  Take time to show those around you today that they are accepted, appreciated, and care about.  Also, know that your dreams do count, your gift does count, your life does count.  You are very much loved and appreciated today; right now!

Joined Together

02 28 11 Monday

We are now two months into 2011. I hope that it has been a great year so far for you.  There are some exciting things going on this year and I do want you to be a part of them.  You have so much to offer.

We have to get ourselves in position to both receive the great things this year has to offer and to give to others what we have to offer.  We all have issues that we have to face in order for us to be position.  There is no time like today to confront those issues and make the changes necessary in your life.  I believe with all my heart this is going to be the greatest year of your life.  However, we have to address our issues and make the changes for that to happen.  There may be addictions in your life that need to be broken. It could be mindsets that need to be changed.  What ever the case, make the decision today to face the giants in your life.  You are not alone in your struggle.  There are folk around you right now that are battling too.  They may have another fight, but we fight together.  Don’t be ashamed of your struggle.  Don’t let it overwhelm you either.  Together we stand; because if we are divided we will fall.

Do You Hear It

02 27 11 Sunday

Listen; do you hear that? Listen again, I know you can hear it.  It is the voice of folk crying out. There are people crying out for help, for understanding, for hope, for love, for someone to just listen to them.  Do you hear it now?

I often talk about folk hurting and that we should be there for others.  This has really been ringing in my ears for several days now.  I struggled for several days in a mental battle, that finally did break.  Then there was this; people calling out for help.  Not necessarily in an audible voice but from their heart; their spirit.  When we take time to really listen it can be over whelming.  We all know what it feels like to hurt. Some to the point that they feel like it is a way of life.  Some don’t think they will ever have a day when they aren’t hurting mentally, spiritually, and even physically.  The mental pain that we feel can be the worse.  There seems to be no relief in sight for some.  All their crying out does not seem to get them get them any better.  I don’t have any special words or power to make anyone feel better.  I know what is like to be the one crying out for help; I think we all do. There is hope for you.  Your crying out has been heard; you are not alone, not by yourself.  I have said before that I pray for my partners everyday. You are being prayed for, I stand with you. Get that hope alive and never give up.
