Integrity
Integrity is a powerful attribute in our lives. Integrity means that you are dependable. You are a person of your word. You’re consistent and honest.
You might say, “Oh, I’m a pretty good person. I do the right thing most of the time.” But understand, it’s the little foxes that spoil the vine. You can veer off course just a little bit, and before you know it, you’re miles away from your destination. Don’t allow the little things to keep you from your destiny; choose integrity — even when no one is looking. For instance, you might need some paper at home, but you shouldn’t take supplies from the office. Or, you might be running into a store for just a minute, but don’t park in the handicap parking spot unless you’re supposed to. If the checkout clerk makes a mistake and gives you too much money back, that’s not God’s provision, that’s a test of integrity!
Remember, if you’ll be faithful and choose integrity in the little things, God will make you ruler over much. Be a person of integrity and open the door for God’s blessing and honor all the days of your life!

Love for All
02 26 11 Saturday
If I wrote the best selling book of all time, had the most popular blog ever, and spoke to millions of folk at a time, but didn’t have love, it would all be for nothing. Love is the foundation, the support, and the covering for everything we do.
I am firm believer in that we should be the best “us” we can be. I adhere to self-discipline, inspiration, motivation and all that goes with it. I believe we all have greatness, significance, purpose, and destiny inside us. All of that said, without love it is all for nothing. Love is the key to everything we do. It matters not how great we become; if we don’t have love, we have become nothing. It doesn’t matter what we accomplish, if we do it without having love, then what do we have. For all that we do; love has to be the motive, the reason why we do it. All we ever get done will be thrown away if it isn’t done for the reason of love. I know that I really have to look at all I do. Am I doing stuff for the right reason; love. Not just loving what I do, but do I love those I do it for. Check your agenda and reason for what you say and do. The reason/agenda will be revealed in the end. Make sure you are on the side of love.

Doing the Right Thing
02 18 11 Friday
There is something to be said about restoring and reconciling relationships. This is a great day to renew a broken and destroyed friendship. Take the path less traveled today.
We all have relationships or friendships that have been hurt during our lifetime. I know I have messed up many of my friendships. There are some that I really believe in time will be restored. I am doing my best to try to make things right. We need to take the time to make an effort to rebuild the relationships in our life. You may have to apologize or just let the other person go off on us. Take the side of humility and do what the right thing. I know in my mind that all the relationships I have broken will not be reconciled, but in my heart I don’t know that yet. I will still do what is right and try to make it right. When we realize that nothing is as important as people and people make friendships; then we will see the importance of reconciliation. Forgiveness, humility, grace, mercy all wrapped up in love will allow it to happen. Without those qualities we will just go through life continuing to leave a wake of destruction behind us. Go the extra mile again today and restore a broken friendship. In the end, you both will be glad you did.

Hip Hop Don’t Stop
01 25 11 Tuesday
The other day my daughter, who is 7, came to me almost in tears, because she was having trouble with a Hip Hop dance routine she was trying to learn. She told me she couldn’t do it and was going to give up. Wonder how I reacted to that?
I am amazed at her young age how we start developing a give up mentality. We feel like we aren’t good enough. She doesn’t hear that at home, school, or church. It is the nature that is in us at birth. The older we get the more developed we become in that mindset. We have to work at and train our mind to change. Never give up! You are good enough and then some! You were created with purpose, destiny, and greatness in you! How is it we let this go at a young age? The enemy of your life will plan negative seeds in your mind. Don’t settle for average in your life. Don’t let others tell you negative lies about yourself. Train your self in the truth. What does God say about you? He created you, you aren’t perfect, but the truth is what God says about you. The truth will always override the facts.
Well, about ten minutes after she and I talked, she came running back in the room telling me how she had gotten the routine down pat. The truth was she could do it and failure was just part of the process. What is the truth about you?

Letting It Go
12 31 10 Friday
We are finally here! Last day of the year. Last day of the first decade of 2K. It’s time to let go and move into 2011 and our destiny. Excited doesn’t even come close to describing how I feel right now!
It is time to let go of the stuff that we don’t need to hold on to. We talked earlier about letting the good times roll, but this is somewhat different. We are talking about letting go of stuff and letting God be in total control. God will either be in total control or not at all. I have dealt with control and manipulation issues for years; so I know what it means to let go of things. For me right now heading into the new year it is letting go of my writing. I have to stop trying control everything. I have to let God be in control; He is the one who is in control. Allow God to have control of your life. Let Him be your guide. Let go of the things that you don’t need to be holding on to right now. There are issues in your life that you need to leave in 2010. Don’t take those insecurities and issues with you. Let God have them and take them away. Hurts and disappointments don’t need to go with us. Unforgiveness and hatred have to stay right here. Doubt and fear have no place with us in 2011. Let God be Who He is.
As we go into the new year, let go of the stuff that we don’t need to be holding on to. See you in 2011! Love you all and thank you very much! I appreciate you!
