Forgiven

No matter how good you are, you will face disappointments.

It may be something simple like not getting a promotion you hoped for, or not closing a business deal you worked so hard on. Maybe you didn’t qualify for a house you really wanted, or maybe something more serious happened like a relationship not working out, the death of a loved one, or some kind of illness in your body. Whatever it may be, the reality is that we’re all going to suffer some setbacks. No matter what has happened, one of the main keys to overcoming disappointments is learning to let go of the past. If you feel “stuck” today, you may want to examine what you’re holding on to. Be willing let go of past disappointments by choosing forgiveness. Who hurt you? Who did you wrong? Release it. Do you need to forgive yourself? Do you need to receive forgiveness? Let go of the past so you can overcome disappointments and experience the your full purpose and destiny. There is freedom in forgetting! Have you forgiven and forgot it?

Removing Yokes

A yoke is something that is put around the neck of an ox to help control the animal.

It limits its movement. If the ox starts to get off course, the yoke is used to pull it back. Even though an ox is very powerful, this small yoke keeps it from doing what it wants to do. Some people don’t realize today that they’re living with a yoke around their neck. They wonder why they can’t get ahead or why everything is a struggle. It’s because of the yokes that are dragging them down. Negative words that were spoken over you can become a yoke. Every time you start to step out, you hear that voice, that parent, that coach saying, “You’re not that talented; you don’t have what it takes.” It plays again and again. Eventually, you shrink back. That’s a yoke. Today choose to forgive and release the yoke of bitterness. Don’t go around being burdened any longer. Are you under the yoke of unforgiveness today?

Forgive Completely

You must learn to forgive even when another does not receive it or forgive you.

I get a lot of questions about forgiveness. Forgiveness, in my opinion, is the first step in healing. It one thing to forgive someone when they openly accept your forgiveness. It’s when the other party refuses your forgiveness that we are tested. Many people have a problem if the other person doesn’t return the forgiveness if you need as well. However, the thing is, it doesn’t matter if they accept your forgiveness or not. It makes no difference if they offer you their forgiveness of not. There is never a question of whether or not you forgive someone. You always forgive, quickly and completely. Never, under any circumstances, withhold your forgiveness from anyone. It doesn’t matter what they did or said. Forgiving is not trusting or saying what they did was okay. Forgiving means giving the clean and clear conscience. Today, I encourage you to forgive everyone that has hurt you. Don’t carry unforgiveness in your heart another day. Let it go now! Completely! Don’t hold any back. Are you forgiving today?
