Your Future

What’s happened in your past is not nearly as important as what is in your future.

Where you’re going is much more significant than where you’ve been. But if you stay focused on the past, you’ll get stuck where you are. This is the reason a lot of people don’t have joy or enthusiasm for life. They’re dragging around all of this negative baggage from the past. Somebody offended them last week, and they’ve got that stuffed in their resentment bag. Last month, they lost their temper and said some things they shouldn’t have. They’ve got that in their guilt and condemnation bag. Ten years aogo, they lost a friend. They still don’t understand it. They’ve got that hurt and pain in their disappointment bag. They carry around their bag of regrets, all the things they wished they would have done differently. Life is too short to live that way. Learn to travel light. Every morning when you first get up, forgive the people that did you wrong the day before. Forgive your spouse for what they said. At the start of the day, let go of the disappointments, the setbacks from yesterday. Start every morning fresh and new. You were not designed to carry around all that baggage. Let it go and move forward. Are you ready to let go of the baggage?

Past to Present

The present is more important than the past.

Oftentimes we allow our past to negatively affect our present and future. However, your past should be a teacher that pushes you toward your purpose and destiny in life. We all have made mistakes and bad decisions. Learn from those and use it to make a better today and tomorrow for yourself and those around you. Your past should never disqualify your destiny but rather it qualifies you to be the difference. Whether you try to disqualify yourself or others attempt to do so, push forward. Take what you can from days and years gone by and use it to form your process for becoming the Champion you were created to be. There are so many others that are going through what you have been through that need your help; your advice. You are the difference in their life. Being relentless means forgiving yourself for what has happened in your life. You can do this! You are a Champion! Are you ready to use your past to make a better tomorrow?

Tent Stakes

Are there some tent stakes in your life that you need to pull up so you can press forward?

Maybe you’ve stopped in a temporary place, and it’s time to keep going. Maybe you’ve gotten comfortable and decided that your dreams are never going to happen. Your health is never going to improve. I’m asking you to pack up your tent, gather up your stuff and start moving forward. You may have taken a temporary delay, but that’s okay. That didn’t stop your destiny. Today can be your new beginning. There are greater victories in front of you! Remember, the first place we lose the battle is in our own thinking. If you don’t think you can be successful, then you never will be. If you don’t think you can overcome the past, meet the right person or accomplish your dreams, then you’ll get stuck right where you are. You’ve got to change your thinking. Get rid of a negative, defeated mentality. Make room in your thinking for the new thing you are supposed to do, pull up your stakes and move on. Are you ready to break camp?

Move On

I have had some tragic things happen in my life, and I couldn’t control any of them.My responses took me to a place I didn’t like.

The vast majority of the people that I meet with tell about me about how something happened in their life and that’s why they are the way they are today. They tell me about how someone said or did something to them that has caused them to be where they are now. There have been things that happened in my life as well, but today we aren’t going to stay in that place. Our past doesn’t have to define our future. It’s time for healing from the wounds of yesterday. Today we will focus on where we are going, not where we been. I have been in some dark places, but not today. Make the decision to move past your past and into your future. Your destiny, your purpose is greater than all your yesterdays. I believe in you and know that your best days are just ahead. Are you moving forward today?

Right Thinking

You have to take responsibility for your own thinking. What others did or did not tell you doesn’t matter now. Past is past; let’s go.

Most people’s thoughts were programmed by the people who raised them or by what somebody spoke over them. Maybe they were good people, doing the best they can, but their words are limiting you. As long as you believe what they said about you, their words are defining you. The key to breaking those limitations is to start meditating on what God says about you. A transformation will take place when you renew your mind. Reprogram your thinking with what God says about you. God says, “The path of the righteous gets brighter and brighter.” All through the day say, “I’m getting better. I haven’t seen my best days. Something good is going to happen to me.” As you meditate on His Word day in and day out, you’re breaking out past the limitations set by others. People may have spoken negative things over you, but the good news is that people don’t determine your destiny. You are not who people say you are. You are who God says you are. Don’t be defined by the limits of others. Are you thinking the right way today?
