I Declare

Are you ready to see something new in your life?

The question is what have you been declaring? Are you declaring what you see in your circumstances? Are you declaring your worries and frustrations to others, or are you declaring positive truth over your life? The Bible tells us that life and death are in the power of the tongue. That means we set our future according to what we choose to say. If you need to see change in your circumstances, then start by changing your words. Don’t use your words to describe your situation; use your words to change your situation. Start declaring new things in order to start seeing new things! Declare blessing, declare peace, declare healing in your life. You have more to do with what comes to you than you may know. Change your words, change your life. What are you saying about your life today?

Starting Your Day

It’s amazing how taking a few minutes at the start of each day to plan and set your thoughts in the right direction can help you get ahead and enable you to accomplish so much more.

But too often, people get so caught up in the activity of life that they tend to just “go with the flow” instead. Of course, I’m not saying we shouldn’t be flexible, but when it comes to your life, you should be the one setting the flow. Of course, unexpected things happen. Our days won’t always go according to plan, but if you’ll take time each day to set your heart and mind in the right direction, you’ll be equipped for whatever comes your way! Today I encourage you, make plans to start your day right and set your thoughts in the right direction. Put God first place. Let Him guide you and order your steps. Even if it’s just five minutes a day, make spending time with Him a habit. Plan your day with Him because careful planning is the way to get ahead. Are you starting your day off the right way?

Attitude Change

A lot of the time when something doesn’t go the way we expect, we make the mistake of telling ourselves, “It’s not fair. It’s not right. When that changes, when it improves, then I’ll have a better attitude.”

No, you’ve got to make the first move. You do your part and God will do His part. Quit worrying about God changing another person, and allow God to change you first. Is there something you’re letting overwhelm you? Maybe you think it’s too much. Why don’t you get up every morning and make this simple declaration, “I can handle anything that comes my way today. I can handle a difficult boss. I can handle getting stuck in traffic. I can handle my plans not working out. I’ll have a good attitude wherever I am.” Decide ahead of time that you are going to stay in an attitude of faith and expectancy. Is your attitude good when things don’t go your way?

Mountain Climbing

In the Bible, Caleb helped lead the people of Israel into their Promised Land.

But it goes on to say that Caleb didn’t just stop there. In fact, when he was 80 years old he said, “God, give me another mountain.” He was saying, “God give me something else to do. Give me another assignment.” Notice, he was planning on living out his life in victory. He could have said, “God, just let me retire. Man, my back’s hurting. I can hardly see anymore. Medicare wouldn’t pay that latest prescription. I’m so aggravated.” No, he was strong. He was energetic; he was ready for the next challenge. No matter how old or how young you are, God has another assignment for you. You wouldn’t be here if God didn’t have a purpose for you. Why don’t you make plans for another victory! Make plans to increase in influence. Choose today to live full of joy, peace, strength and health and take a step of faith into the life of blessing He has in store for you. Are you ready for another mountain today?

Big Dream

Most of us as children, we have dreams for the future, dreams of being ball players and actresses, super heroes and firemen.

But most of the time, they end up just being wishful thinking. As we get older, we grow out of them. It’s good to play and have dreams as children, but when we grow up, we have to know the difference between a God-given dream and a wish. I remember when I was a little boy, I dreamed of playing baseball for the Atlanta Braves. That was definitely a fantasy! Beyond our wishes though, we all have dreams placed inside of us by God. In fact, the Latin word for “desire” means “from the Father.” One way to tell if a dream is really from God is that the desire won’t go away. You may have had it for years, but you still can’t let it go. In fact, you may have tried to let it go, but it won’t let go of you. Today, I encourage you to search your heart and allow those God-given dreams to surface. He placed those desires inside of you for a purpose, and He’s going to use them to direct you into the destiny He has in store for you! Are you dreaming big dreams today?

In Due Time

In life, sometimes we are waiting for something; waiting for a dream to come to happen, waiting to meet the right person, waiting for a problem to turn around.

When things aren’t happening as fast as we would like, it’s easy to get frustrated. But you have to realize that the moment you prayed, God established a set time to bring the promise to pass. God has a set time for your opportunity. There is a set time for that problem to turn around, a set time for your healing, your promotion, your breakthrough. It may be tomorrow, or next week, or five years from now. But when you understand the time has already been set, it takes all the pressure off. You won’t live worried, wondering when this is ever going to happen. You’ll relax and enjoy your life knowing that the promise has already been scheduled and your answer is on the way! Are you okay in knowing it will happen?

Freshen Up Your Life

Do you need some freshness in your life today?

You may simply need to stir up what God has placed on the inside of you. Stir up those gifts, stir up those dreams, stir up those talents inside. Start stretching yourself. You were created to be a dreamer and to pursue the desires God has placed in your heart. The Bible tells us that without vision, people perish. If you don’t have a dream or vision for your life, you’re not really going to reach your fullest potential. Maybe at one time you had a dream, but you went through some disappointments or setbacks. Things didn’t turn out the way you planned. But here’s a key: when one dream dies, dream another dream. Just because it didn’t work out the way you had it planned doesn’t mean that God doesn’t have another plan. You cannot allow one disappointment or even a series of disappointments to convince you that your dream is over. It’s time to dig your heals in and hold on to the promises in your heart. Stir up those God-given dreams today and watch your life go to a higher level. Are you ready to freshen up your life today?

Refill Your Tank

Sometimes, it’s easy to get wrapped up in taking care of the people around us.

You may find that you’re always giving, taking care of the children, working overtime at the office, or helping that friend who is struggling. And that’s all good. But if you’re not careful, you can end up feeling rundown. That’s why you have to take time every day to get filled back up. Your first priority should be taking care of yourself. Take time to read some good “self help” books. Listen to podcasts or books while you are driving each day. Use your workout time to improve yourself mentally as well as physically. Are you taking time to refill your tank each day?

All You Are

Throughout life, we will always have forces opposing us to try to keep us from becoming all God’s created us to be.

Many times, the adversities and unfair situations are set up by the enemy to try to discourage us and deceive us into giving up on our dreams. Today, you may feel like you’re at an empty place in life. Not much is going your way. You’ve been through difficulties and setbacks. I believe God wants to restore you. He wants to encourage you. He wants to do a new thing in and through you. It doesn’t matter what’s happened in your past, God has something new for your future. God has placed so much inside of you. You have gifts, talents and abilities that no one else has. You may have had more than your share of unfair things happen. But it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish that matters. It’s time to shake off the past and shake off that discouragement. Are you ready to be all that God has created you to be today?

No More Arguing

Too often, people fall into the trap of arguing.

Someone says something that rubs you the wrong way, and before you know it, there is tension, quarreling and division.  It’s the enemy’s greatest trap to keep people from living in peace. But you don’t have to fall into the trap of strife, you can rise above it. You can simply drop the matter before it turns into something bigger than it needs to be. You don’t have to sink down to somebody’s level and argue with them and try to prove that you’re right. You weren’t put on this earth to correct everybody around you. If you are going to be all that you were called you to be, you have to learn to stay above arguing. Instead of letting disagreements pull your relationships apart, look for common ground to draw you closer to the people in your life. Look for peace. Look for ways to be a blessing. Stay above arguing so you can enjoy your relationships and experience the life you were created for today. Are you ready to stop arguing and live an awesome life?
