Shutting It Down

A Champion shuts down the desire to give up and allows themselves to discover what you’re really made of, what you’re capable of doing.

The only way you will ever truly know what you are made out of is to shut down the desire to give up. You are able to do more than you think you are. We have to push ourselves past the outer limits. When the first desire to give up comes, don’t give in to it. There is far more out there for you; if you will just continue to push on. Most people never really go past the first pains of the desire to give up. To be unstoppable you have to do just that; don’t stop. Take the next step and move past average. Become the Champion you were created to be. It’s exciting to discover what you’re made of and just what all you’re really capable of doing. Are shutting down the desire to give up today?

Plant It

But you have to remember, as a Champion, you have greatness on the inside of you.

When you go through disappointments or tough times, you may feel like you’ve been buried. You may feel like you’re in a dark, lonely place. You may feel like it’s the end; but in reality, it’s only the beginning. The fact is, you haven’t been buried; you have been planted. That means you’re coming back. And not only are you coming back, but you’re coming back in strength, better and stronger than before! In those tough times, you’ve got to draw the line in the sand. Make a declaration, “This tough time is not going to bury me. This loss, this disappointment, this injustice is not going to cause me to give up on my dreams. I refuse to live in self-pity. I know I am a seed. That means I cannot be buried. I can only be planted. I may be down, but it’s only temporary. I know I’m not only coming back, I’m coming back even better than I was before!” Are you planted today?

The long Haul

Champions don’t care about instant gratification; they invest in the long-term payoff.

Champions are in for the long haul. One play, one game, one season doesn’t make a you a Champion. The same goes for one business deal, one sale, one class doesn’t make you a Champion. You have to be unstoppable to be a Champion. You have to be relentless. You don’t stop after one day goes your way. You keep grinding it out, day after day, year after year. It doesn’t matter if you’re in sports, business, stay at home mom, or student you have to let be in for the long run. This is one reason today there are fewer Champions. People seem to want everything quick and easy. That’s not a Champion. Find your strength area, your gifted zone and be the best ever at what you do. Get better every day. Grow every day. Prepare your mind and body to be in this until the end. When you get to the top, then raise the top higher and keep climbing. You have what it takes to be the best, to be a Champion. Develop your mental toughness and discipline to stay in it for the duration. Are you ready to stay for the long-term payoff?

Pushing Forward

When you’re a Champion; you keep pushing yourself harder when everyone else has had enough.

I can’t stress enough that if you are going to be a Champion then you have to be unstoppable. It may seem redundant, but it is something that you must understand. This is why there are so few unstoppable people. When others have reached there physical limits, this is when you are able to push forward because you are mentally stronger. Everyone likes to be around a Champion, cheer on a Champion, but few are willing to be the Champion. There will always be wannabe’s but unfortunately very few ever make it. I encourage you today to invest in your destiny, in your God-given purpose by investing in your mental conditioning. God has blessed you with a gift/talent, don’t let that go to waste. Use it to make a difference in the world. Push through the failures, the pain, the frustration. When others have had enough, you are just getting started. Are you ready to push forward today?

Hold Fast

I want to encourage you to hold fast in your situation today.

“Hold fast” is not a phrase we often use today. But in its original form, hold fast means not only to embrace, but to embrace with force as if someone is trying to take something from you. In other words, you’ve got to have a firm grip or you’re going to lose out!  I like to think of it sort of like a tug of war. You’re on one end and your opponent  is on the other. He’s trying to pull that rope out of your hand. He’s trying to steal your hope and get you to speak negative words of doubt and defeat. But you’ve got to be determined and stand strong. You’ve got to persevere and hold fast. Don’t let the enemy pull the victory out of your heart! You might need to dig your heals in and get a new grip, but don’t you dare let go! Keep speaking words of truth. Keep speaking words of hope. Are you holding fast today?

Keep Digging

I read that back in the 1800’s some explorers were going across a huge desert and didn’t bring enough water.

They started digging at different spots underneath the surface about a foot or two trying to find water. They ended up losing their lives in the desert because of a lack of water. Many years later, it was discovered that there was water right there where they had lost their lives about three feet underground. If they would have just dug down a little bit further, they would have found the water and saved their lives. The same principle is true when you’re in a dry season and not getting any good breaks, business is slow, or you’re struggling in a relationship. It’s easy to think, “This is never going to change. I’m never going to see my dreams come to pass.” No, just like those early explorers, water is there. Provision is there. You just have to dig down a little bit deeper. If you will shake off the self-pity, shake off what didn’t work out, shake off the complacency and turn up your process, you’ll soon tap in to the blessing and provision that has been prepared for you. Are you going to keep digging?

Finish

Whatever you do, finish it. Persevere through the doubts and failings.

Once you start working your process, walking out your destiny and purpose there are going to be ups and downs. There will be people telling you that you can’t do it, you will never make it, you don’t have what it takes. Get those thoughts and people out of your life. Move past the doubts, work through your failures. You have an assignment in life and you are expected to finish it. Many start but never complete their life mission. They allow difficulties, other’s opinions, and setbacks to stop them. Anybody can start, but it takes a strong person to finish. You are a finisher. You are a person of passion and purpose. You have what it takes to live your life full of purpose. Even when it looks like you are not moving forward in your life, don’t settle, don’t quit. There is no doubt and no failure big enough to stop you. You are a champion! Are you working on finishing your purpose in life?

Stay In

Don’t ever give up. Be persistent, be committed, be positive, and learn from every failing. Your perseverance will reward you someday.

Many people are sitting on the sidelines of life and not getting up because they have been injured. Maybe it was from a health issue, a divorce, a job lay off, or a failed class. God has promised He will give you victory for your pain. He will pay you double for the wrongs in your life. Keep pressing forward toward your destiny. I have often said; “I am hurt but I am here.” Don’t have a victim, poor ole me mentality. Instead of ‘why me’ turn it into ‘why not me.’ Take the pain, the hurts, the disappointments and allow them to forge you into a difference maker. Be a leader, a healer, a comforter for those that are hurting and injured by life. When circumstances look the worse you be at your best. Remember to breathe! Take life one day at a time, even one minute at a time if need be. You will win if you stay in the game. Don’t give up and never quit. Are you making a difference today?

Patience

Patience is a necessity for success.

I had a man tell me not long ago that his business was very, very slow. It looked like he would go under. He owned a small manufacturing company with one main competitor in town, a national company that was bigger with more resources. With the economy down, it made it harder and harder for him to stay open. This man was flexible about what he should do next, but he really believed he was in the business God wanted him to be in. So, he kept praying, believing and hoping; and instead of considering his circumstances, he considered his God. Just when he thought he was going to have to close down, his main competitor had a change in leadership and direction and decided to pull out of this market. Now he’s breaking all kinds of records. Today I want to encourage you. If there’s something coming against you, consider your God. He has a way to meet every one of your needs. You may not be able to beat the competition in the natural, but God can simply remove the competition. He wants to give you the advantage for success. Trust Him and believe because with God, all things are possible. Are you being patient today?

Perseverance

By my perseverance and patient endurance, I will receive what God has promised.

What are you believing God for today? Promotion? Healing? Stronger relationships? Deliverance? God has promised all these things to you in His Word because it’s His heart for you to live in blessing and wholeness. When you follow the will of God by obeying His Word it opens the door for His promises to be fulfilled in your life. You may be doing all the right things today — don’t give up! Perseverance will carry you to the promise. Perseverance means that you are focused, that you are believing what God says about your situation. It’s looking away from distractions and any negative, defeating thoughts. Perseverance looks away from discouragement and looks to the truth. Perseverance has a voice, and it says things like, “No weapon formed against me shall prosper! If God is for me, who can be against me! I am more than a conqueror!” Whatever you are believing for today, keep believing! Stand strong and fight the good fight of faith. Ask God to give you endurance, perseverance and patience so that you can see His promises fulfilled in every area of your life. Are you being patient in your life today?
