Responding to Adversity

How do you respond to adversity?

The way you handle adversities has a huge impact on your success in life? If you shrink back, choose to get bitter and lose your drive, then you are allowing the difficulties of life to bury you. You are allowing hardship to keep you from your God-given destiny. But if you choose to keep pressing forward with a smile on your face, even in the hard times, you are allowing your character to be developed inside of you. You are setting yourself up for success. Think about this: the only difference between a piece of black coal and a priceless diamond is the amount of pressure that it’s endured. When you stand strong in the trials and difficulties in life, when you allow God to shape and mold your character, it’s like going from a piece of coal to a priceless diamond. Those difficulties are going to give way to new growth, new potential, new talent, new friendships, new opportunities, new vision. You’re going to see your life grow in ways that you’ve never even dreamed! How do you respond to adversity?

Relaxed?

The ability to relax is a skill just like being able to execute the fundamentals of your sport.

In life, oftentimes we are waiting for something; waiting for a dream to come reality, waiting to meet the right person, waiting for a problem to turn around. When things aren’t happening as fast as we would like, it’s easy to get frustrated. But you have to realize that the moment you set it in your mind, it is being formed. There is a set time for that problem to turn around, a set time for your healing, your promotion, your breakthrough. It may be tomorrow, or next week, or five years from now. But when you understand the time has already been set, it takes all the pressure off. You won’t live worried, wondering when this is ever going to happen. You’ll relax and enjoy your life knowing that the promise has already been scheduled and your answer is on the way! Are you relaxed today?

You Prepared?

Preparation is an essential key to confidence, and learning how to properly prepare will keep you at your best when it is needed the most.

Are you waiting for something to happen in your life? One thing I’ve learned is that waiting should not be a passive thing. When we’re waiting the correct way, we’re on the lookout. We talk like what we are believing for is going to happen. We act like it’s going to happen. We’re making preparations. It’s just like when you’re expecting someone for dinner; you don’t wait till they show up before you decide to start cooking. Most likely you start early in the day. You make sure the house is clean, you go to the grocery store, and maybe you buy some flowers for the table. You make preparations because you’re expecting someone. That’s the way you have to prepare mentally as well. Being prepared helps build your confidence. Are you prepared today?

Are You Frustrated

Some people think that loving their work means they won’t have to work hard, or that they won’t have frustrations.

No, those things are all a part of life. But ultimately, God can help you enjoy what you’re doing. When you’re in God’s will, there will be a joy inside you, you will feel a sense of accomplishment. When you’re serving in your purpose, you will be fulfilled and enjoy your life. You’ll live the best life that God intended for you — and He’ll take you places that you’ve never even dreamed of! You’ll experience the abundant life He has in store. My deepest desire for you is that you discover and follow God’s perfect will — knowing your calling, so that one day you can look back and say, “This is why God put me here.” To be your best you must be willing to be who you were created to be. Are you working hard to be a Champion. Are you unstoppable today?
