Run Your Race

Are you comfortable enough to play the role that been designed for you.

Many people live their life comparing themselves to others, feeling “less than,” inadequate, or unhappy with their gifts and talents. I want to remind you of the importance of appreciating and accepting the gifts you been given and entrusted to you. As you use your energy to be the best that you can be and be who you were created to be instead of comparing and competing, you will enjoy your life more, and there will be more satisfaction and fulfillment. If you’ll use what you do have, you will walk in your purpose. You will be in your race, doing what you are supposed to do. Don’t try to run someone else’s race, don’t try to be someone that you aren’t. Stop looking at what others have and what others do. Do what you do! Be who you were created to be! If you were to be like them, then God would have made you like them. Be comfortable with who you are. Rather than competing with someone else, compete with yourself and work on being the best you that you can be. Are you comfortable with you today?

Adding Discipline

Many people can be confused about the value and importance of discipline because they think of the world in a negative context.

What do you think of when you hear the word; discipline? Unfortunately, most think of being punished or some other negative thoughts. Punishment is negative, but discipline is a positive thing. Without discipline you will never fulfill your destiny or reach your goals. Discipline doesn’t come easy and during the process isn’t comfortable. It is the results of discipline that are good. Losing weight requires discipline. Writing a book, sharpening your talent/gift requires discipline. No one ever said exercising discipline in your life wold be fun, but it is worthwhile. If you are lacking discipline in your life; then today is the day to begin to change. Take an area that you need to make some positive changes in and then add the discipline that you have untapped inside of you. You can do this! You have what it takes. Are you ready to exercise discipline in your life today?

Run To The Battle

The very moment you first feel fear, you have to resist it.

In other words, you have to act against it. If you make the mistake of thinking about your fears and start thinking about all the reasons why you can’t do what God is telling you to do, then it won’t be long before you develop a negative mindset that will keep you stuck where you are. In the Bible, when God told David to go fight Goliath, it says that David run toward the battlefield. In other words, he didn’t think about it. He didn’t allow fear to grip his heart and talk him out of it. He just did what God wanted him to do. So many people today are just sitting on the sidelines of life. They have tremendous potential on the inside, but they keep letting the enemy talk them out of doing what God wants them to do. Every time they get a vision of victory for their life, the enemy brings fear; and they just swallow his lies hook, line and sinker. Don’t let that be you! Instead, run toward your battlefield. Are you defeating your fear today?

It’s That Time

So many people today are missing out on joy, peace and success because they keep giving in to fear.

They are afraid to make a decision, they are afraid to confront issues, they’re afraid to step out into their destiny, they’re afraid of the past, and they’re afraid of the future! We don’t have to live that way. Always remember, fear is not from God. You have to make a decision to deal aggressively with fear. You can’t be passive and expect to live in victory. The only way to conquer fear is to confront it head-on with the truth. Know who you are, not what others say about you. You are a champion and it’s time to live like one. It’s time to regain the joy, peace, and success that you have been missing out on. Are you ready to get back in the game today?

Be Patient

Sometimes, people get discouraged in life because things didn’t turn out the way they hoped on the first try.

Maybe they put energy into a relationship but it didn’t work out. They tried that new business venture, but they are still struggling with their finances. Now they think it’s never going to happen. But, one thing we have to learn is that God honors perseverance. On the way to your “yes” you may encounter some “no’s.” You may encounter some closed doors, but that doesn’t mean it’s the final answer. It just means “keep going.” Remember, if God promised it, He’s going to make it happen. This is where patience comes in; this is where perseverance comes in. This is where trust comes in. Just because you don’t see things happen right away doesn’t mean you should quit. No, instead, rise up and press forward. Keep believing, keep hoping, keep enduring and keep asking because our God is always faithful to His promises. Are you be patient in His plan for your life?

The X Factor

There’s a popular talent show on television called “The X Factor.”

The judges study the different contestants and try to figure out who has that indefinable “something” that makes them stand out. You can’t necessarily put your finger on it. It’s not just talent, looks or personality. There’s something about them that gives them an advantage. I’ve heard the judges say, “I don’t know what it is, but you’ve got it.” They call it the “X Factor.” In the same way, when God created you, He put something in you to give you an advantage in this life. There is something about you that makes you stand out, something that draws opportunity, something that causes you to overcome obstacles, to accomplish dreams. You can’t put your finger on it. It’s not just your talent, your education, your hard work. It’s God’s gift in you. You have a special gift that is for you to share with the world. Use your gift today to be a difference maker in others lives. What is your God given gift?

Lifting Words

Our words have the power to lift people up or push people down.

We can say something to make others feel better about themselves or make them feel worse. It’s amazing what a simple compliment will do. When you tell someone “You look nice today,” or “Great job,” or “I really enjoy working with you,” those simple words will put a spring in their step and brighten their day. It doesn’t take much time and doesn’t cost you anything, yet with your words, you can bless their life. That’s the power God has given each one of us. Every day we should have a goal of finding at least one person that we can encourage. Let’s be free with our compliments. Point out what somebody is doing right, not what they are doing wrong. There is already enough pushing people down. Let’s make it our business to lift people up, to brighten their day, to make them feel better about themselves. Remember, your words are seeds. When you deposit life and blessing into others, that’s what you’ll reap in your own life in return! Are you lifting others with your words today?

Being Accountable

True dedication starts the day that you make that declaration known to others who can will hold you accountable for reaching your goals.

A good friend of mine always says; “I will do what is inspected before I will do what is expected.” What he is saying is, when he is held accountable to do something he will do it. If we are only expected to do something but no one ever checks to see if we did it; we probably won’t do it or not as well. The day that we make ourselves accountable is the day you start fulfilling your destiny. Champions are people that keep themselves accountable to others. They know that when they tell others what they want to accomplish and then allow those people to speak into their life; they are on their way to be a champion. Take the big step to becoming a champion today. Ask someone that will hold you accountable to do just that. Make sure they are accountable to someone too. Someone that is not accountable to anyone has no place holding others accountable. No better day than today to get started. You aren’t in this alone. Are you accountable today?

Insecurity

We don’t have to be absorbed by our own feelings of insecurity.

We have areas of insecurity. There are many people that live their live according to their insecurities. They won’t start something new because they don’t think they can do it. They give up because they are controlled by insecurities. The way they treat and react to people are dictated by their insecurities. When you are controlled by insecurity you will not be able to treat people with respect and love. You will be more concerned with your own needs and desires. Insecurity will make you guarded and overprotective of yourself. You will think that everyone is against you and that no one wants to see you succeed. Insecurity will steal your joy and your peace. No relationship will be complete and whole as long as your insecurities are dominant. However, you don’t have to live this way. Find the source of your insecurity and destroy it. Mindsets established long ago may be the cause of the insecurity. Learn the truth of the matter and the situation. The truth will tear down the insecurity. Today is your day to begin living in the truth and not the lies of insecurity. Are you ready to deal with insecurity today?

Being Grateful

One of the first steps in the dedication process is the ability to develop an attitude of gratitude.

No matter what may be happening in the world around you, you can always find something to be thankful for. Gratitude is a powerful force that opens the door to your destiny. Constant gratitude also shows humility because when we are thankful, we magnify the positive instead of magnifying our problems. It gives us proper perspective and opens the door for grace, mercy and forgiveness.  So what are you grateful for today? Are you grateful for the sun that shines and brings a new day? Are you thankful for the people in your life? As you choose an attitude of constant gratitude, you’ll experience mercy and kindness in greater ways. You’ll be filled with peace and joy. Are you a grateful person?
