The Deep End
You were created to do business in deep waters.
In other words, we’re not supposed to have little dreams or little plans. We are supposed to have big dreams. We are supposed to go out into the deep things God has for us. But understand, when you’re out there in the deep waters, you can’t touch the ground. You can’t see the shoreline, and at times, it can get a little rocky. You may not always see how things are going to work out. That is when fear comes in and will attempt to stop you. If you are afraid, then do it afraid. If you feel like you are out in the deep today, if you feel like you are overwhelmed, remember, you are in the right place. You are right where you are supposed to be. Don’t go back to the shore, but keep on heading toward your destiny. Are you in the deep end today?

Roadblock
Are you going through a season where you feel like every time you try to move forward, you hit a roadblock?
Something happens that throws you off course. Be encouraged today because this is not your end. It’s only the beginning, and God has equipped you for this journey. Today, if you feel like you’re in a dry season, don’t look at your circumstances. Look at your purpose, your destiny. What do you need in order to keep moving forward? Start by checking your attitude. Don’t go around complaining or focused on the negative side of things. Don’t see roadblocks as the end of all ends, but as a start of something new. You are a person of destiny not defeat. How do you see roadblocks?

Like a Palm Tree
Have you ever seen a palm tree during a storm?
That tree may be bent so far over that it’s almost touching the ground, but when the wind finally stops, that palm tree bounces right back up. What’s interesting is that while that palm tree is hunched over under the pressure of the storm, it is actually growing stronger? The reason God said we’d be like a palm tree is because He knew there would be difficult times. He knew things would come against us to try to steal our joy and victory. You’re going to be like a palm tree because when the storms of life blow, you are going to come right back up stronger than before. Nothing can hold you back! No weapon formed against you will prosper. As you reflect on the events from your past, remember, the storms you have encountered have only made you stronger. You are wiser, you are more alive, and you are headed for victory. You’re brightest days are right out in front of you! Always remember that nothing can hold you back! Are you like a palm tree?

Happy Happy Happy
Many people are waiting for their circumstances to change in order to be happy and enjoy their lives.
All the time I hear things like, “As soon as I get out of this problem, Scott, I’ll be happy.” “As soon as I lose ten pounds…as soon as my business grows…as soon as my child straightens up…” No, if you don’t put your foot down and decide to be happy right now, there will always be something to keep you from being happy. God never intended for us to put off our happiness. We have a choice to make each and every day. We have to set our minds in the right direction. This is the day to be happy; not tomorrow, not when the weather clears up. Not next week, when I don’t have to work so hard. Not next month, when I make it through this difficult time. Choose today to be happy. It is your choice whether to let your circumstances dictate to you or you decide that you will be happy today. Are you happy today?

Keep On Standing
If you’ve been standing for the promises in your life, I want you to know today that your time is coming!
The dreams and desires in your heart, the things you want to accomplish, the situations you want to see changed will happen. Don’t give up just because it has taken a long time, or just because you’ve tried and failed. I encourage you today — get your fire back! Don’t be complacent about pursuing what is in your heart. It may be taking a long time, but don’t give up. No matter how long it’s been, no matter how impossible it looks, if you’ll stay in faith, your time is coming. Every dream that’s in your heart, every promise that has taken root. Declare today, “My time is coming…I will fulfill my destiny…I will fulfill the plan for my life!” As you declare, expect, and wait for the appointed time, your faith will grow. Your hope will grow. And you’ll step into the destiny God has in store for you! Are you still standing today?

Wide Open Mouth
One way we “close our mouths” so to speak, is by choosing negative thoughts.
If you go around thinking, “Well, I don’t think I’ll ever meet my sales goals this year with the economy like it is”; or “I don’t think I’ll ever get promoted because I’m not that qualified”; or “I don’t think I’ll ever get well,” then the problem is that your mouth is barely open. Take the limits off your thinking, and believe for supernatural opportunities. Why don’t you go out each day expecting to win and be successful? If you’ll go out each day expecting far-and-beyond average, if you’ll “open wide your mouth,” you won’t be disappointed. Begin to not only think outside the box, but to throw the box away completely. Begin to see yourself the way that you really are. See yourself successful and making a difference in people’s lives. See yourself as a champion and a world changer. Is your mouth open wide today?

Confident Dreams
A lot of people allow the opinions of others to hold them back and water down their dreams.
You have to realize that there will always be critics and negative people in life. One of the most important things you can learn is that other people don’t have to believe in you in order for your dreams to happen. Other people don’t set the limits for your life — you do! It’s not what others say about you that affects your life, but what you say and believe about yourself. When God puts a promise in your heart, it’s not up to other people to bring it to pass, it’s up to you! It doesn’t matter if other people don’t believe. Their unbelief is not going to keep me from believing in my dreams. In other words, you don’t need everyone else to validate you. You only have to follow the voice of God for yourself and allow Him to order your steps. Today, know that God sees the hidden treasures inside of you. He wants to bring those treasures out and make your dreams reality. Don’t water down your dreams. Have confidence today. Are you believing in your dreams today?

Your Declaration
When you make this declaration, “I can handle it,” that’s not just being positive.
You’re taking hold of strength. When you say it, you’re getting stronger. That’s why the we say, “Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’ ” If you’re always talking about the problem saying, “I can’t stand this job.” “This professor is so difficult. I’ll never pass his course.” “My friend didn’t make it. I don’t know what I’m going to do.” All that does is drain you. When you talk defeat, strength is leaving. Energy is leaving. Creativity is leaving. Don’t let those things overwhelm you. You are not a victim; you are a victor! No matter what comes your way, you can handle it! You are ready for it and equal to it. If you will stay in agreement with God, He will take what is meant for your harm and use it to your advantage. That difficulty won’t defeat you. It will take to a higher level. Learn to stay in a positive frame of mind. You are right where you are supposed to be at this moment. Use your talent to make a difference in others lives. What is your declaration today?

Blessing Others
Have you thought about the people in your life who need your blessing?
They need your approval. They need to hear you say, “I’m proud of you. You’re going to do great things.” That’s speaking the blessing. That’s releasing a blessing into their future. When you say to the people you love, “I’m so glad you’re in my life. You mean the world to me,” you just gave them the blessing. When you tell one of your employees, coworkers or a student, “You amaze me with your ability. You have such a bright future,” those are not just nice compliments. When you speak the blessing, you’re releasing God’s wisdom, protection, and love into their future. You can literally help shape their destiny. One word of encouragement, one word of approval can be what helps them to really step up to who God created them to be. Today, choose to speak the blessing. Sow good seeds into the lives of the people you love. Remember, what you make happen for others, God will make happen for you. Are you speaking blessings today?

Showing Esteem
In today’s culture, we don’t often hear the word esteem used very much.
One definition of esteem is to hold in high regard. That means we are to honor and value one another. Even if we don’t always agree with one another, even if they don’t necessarily act honorably, we are to honor and esteem others because they are valuable. Think of it this way: if you had a costly and valuable piece of jewelry, you wouldn’t just wear it to the gym or leave it on the kitchen sink. No, you would treat it carefully. You would put it in a safe place and protect it. Well, when we see others as valuable the way God sees them, we will treat them carefully as well. We should be careful in the way we talk to others. We should look for the good in them and honor them for who God made them to be. Choose to esteem and delight in one another. Are you showing esteem today?
