Thinking About It

What a person thinks is determined by how a person thinks.

Did you know you can limit your life by dwelling on the wrong things? So often, wrong thinking keeps people stuck right where they are. If you think you’ll never accomplish your dreams, those thoughts will hold you back. If you think you don’t have the talent, the connections or the funds, then you are limiting yourself. You are blocking what God can do in your life. It’s time to take the limits off and trust God. Just because you don’t see a way doesn’t mean that God doesn’t have a way. God can bring one opportunity across your path that will thrust you to a whole new level. If you’ll shift your focus from this earthly realm and start looking with your eyes of faith, you’ll see His unlimited possibilities for your future. Take the limits off by setting your thoughts on what God can do in your life! What are you thinking today?

Keep the Faith

Sometimes when things don’t turn out the way you thought; when they don’t happen on your timetable, it’s easy to get discouraged and feel like God has let you down.

But, I believe that simply means that God has something better in store for you. If you’ve been praying and standing in faith but you didn’t get the answer yet, now is not the time to back down. When one door closes, God always has another door. We have to remember that the enemy is the one who is trying to bring discouragement. He’s trying to get you focused on the closed door instead of the open door just ahead. Don’t fall for the trap! Keep moving forward. Stay in faith knowing that God has something better in store for you. Are you staying faithful?

Knowing Who You Are

Until you know who you are, you will never know your purpose.

Knowing who you are is imperative to knowing your purpose in life. Who you are and your purpose are tied together. So you have to know this before you will know your purpose. Many people are frustrated because they are looking for their purpose but they never realize who they are. Trying to find your purpose without taking the first step self identity will leave you frustrated. Before you go out and just start doing something because you don’t know what else to do, discover who you are. Then you can start doing what you were created for. You have a distinct plan for your life. You have a purpose so don’t waste time searching for purpose until you have searched out who you really are. You have what it takes to be a difference maker. Take the time to discover your true identity. Then move into the purpose for your life. Do you know the true you?

Quality Decisions

A person’s long-term level of success or failure–will be greatly determined by the quality of their decisions.

The decisions you make will determine your outcome. It is the quality of those decisions that will determine whether or not you succeed or fail at what you are doing. Many people want to blame others for where they are in life, when they fail. However, it’s not others that determine our success or failure, but us. You and I determine whether we succeed or failure by the quality of our decisions each day. You are where you are because of the decisions you have made. Others may have factored in, but ultimately it is our own decision making process that determines our success or failure. Sometimes it seems like the deck is stacked against us, but remember you have a purpose and plan for your life. Don’t make snap decisions, take the time to step back and look at the situation from several perspectives. You can make quality decisions and have success. Are you making good, quality decisions today?

Life of Purpose

A person that has integrity, is trustworthy and reliable, is prepared and capable of performing the purpose they were created.

The only people that will fulfill their purpose in life are those people with integrity. Notice that I didn’t say they were perfect, but had integrity. None of us are perfect, but you were perfectly designed to live out your destiny in life. You have made mistakes, I have made mistakes, but integrity is still attainable. You still have what it takes to perform the purpose you were created. Never allow anyone to talk you out of your destiny. Those that don’t want to live a life of integrity don’t want you to either. Being a person of integrity, of purpose, of destiny isn’t the easy life, but it’s better than the option. If you want to live the greatest adventure ever, then live out your purpose. Choose the life of integrity and get ready for the ride of your life. Are you living out your purpose today?

Visionary

The Bible tells us that without vision, people perish.

If you don’t have a dream or vision for your life, then you’re not really going to reach your fullest potential. Maybe at one time you had a dream, but you went through some disappointments or setbacks. Things didn’t turn out the way you planned. But here’s a key: when one dream dies, dream another dream. Just because it didn’t work out the way you had it planned doesn’t mean that God doesn’t have another plan. You cannot allow one disappointment or even a series of disappointments to convince you that your dream is over. It’s time to dig your heals in and hold on to the promises in your heart. Stir up those God-given dreams today. Are you have vision today?

In Defense

To speak up, rather than remaining quiet when someone is being done wrong, requires character.

When you don’t say anything when someone is talking to about someone in a bad way you are in a sense agreeing with that person. Even if you don’t agree any in the least. It takes courage and character to stand up and speak in the behalf of someone else. However, a true friend will stand up for their friends. You don’t have to get into a knock down drag out fight, but never allow someone to be put down when you can defend them. Take the high road, the one less traveled and take a stand for the person being talked about. Then once you have that done, you will be standing up for people that aren’t your friend. You may not even like the person, but that is what a person of character is supposed to do. This also will stop us from talking about others. What is the old saying; If you can’t say something good about someone, don’t say anything at all. I believe you can find something good to say about someone. May be a short conversation, but there is some good in each of us. Are you defending those being talked about today?

SOP

The end result you desire will reveal what must be done in the present–a standard operating procedure–to reach that specific result.

When someone ask me to help them with a life decision such as; college, work, relationship, I ask them where they want to be in 5-10 years. Then we work backwards from there. We then develop a SOP, standard operating procedure. This will become their process. I pass this on to you. Start with your destination in mind. Reverse thinking. Where do you want to be in 5 years? Ask yourself, where do you want to live, what clothes, what do you drive, where do you work. All of these questions will put together the puzzle of your destiny. The answers will help you design your process. There is a plan designed for your life. Look to your gift/talent to learn the plan. God has a specific purpose for you. Make sure you ask the right questions. Be honest with your answers. Be flexible with your plan. But stick with your process everyday. Do you know your SOP?

Knowing What To Do

When everybody’s crying and saying; “What do we do now?” you’ll be halfway home by answering the question right. The answer, is ‘walk on.’

When you know who you are and what your purpose in life is; then you have no problem when life is tough. Now, life does get easier when learn your identity and why you’re here. Note, that I didn’t say; life is easy, but it does get much easier. There is less confusion and more clarity. You know what to do when others around you seem to have no idea. You stay in your strength zone, but never your comfort zone. Your strength zone becomes your comfort zone. In other words, you have to get comfortable being uncomfortable. So the next time you find yourself in a tough situation and those around you are panicking; move forward. Control what you can control. Use your gift and talent to move through the situation. You will be a difference maker in the lives of the people around you. Do you know what to do in difficult situations?

Fourth and Goal

The biggest part of wherever you end up in life is gonna be determined by the choices you make when things get tough.

When all is going good in your life it’s easy to make the right call. But it’s when time is running out, it’s fourth and inches, in the fourth quarter and the game is on the line. That’s when you will determine where you end up in life. When life is coming at you hard, unfair and from all sides that’s when you find out what you are made of. Some fail the test and have to repeat it over and over again. Some pass the test and move to the next test. I have to tell you that the test never end. That’s the awesome part of living the life of a champion. We go from one test to another. Examine your life and see how you have responded to the fourth and goals. Have you scored or been stuffed at the line? Keep working on yourself and keep getting better. I am here for you, to help you and do this with you. What is your game plan?
