When things get difficult, it’s easy to want to give up.
It’s easy to get down and discouraged. But, that’s not the plan for us. I want us to be so full of hope, so full of expectancy that we just can’t help believing for the best. I want us to be prisoners of hope! When you’re a prisoner of something, it’s like you’re chained to it. In other words, you can’t get away from it. I know people that are prisoners of fear, prisoners of worry, prisoners of doubt. You’ve heard them. “Nothing good ever happens to me.” “It’s never going to change. It’s just been too long.” No, you’re chained to the wrong thing. You need to break those chains and become a prisoner of hope. That means that no matter how long it’s taking, no matter how impossible it looks, our attitude should be, “I just can’t help it. I know it’s going to work out. I know I’m going to overcome. It may be taking a long time, but I know this too shall pass. It may be difficult, but I know that means I’m closer to my victory because I am a prisoner of hope!” Are you a prisoner of hope today?

You’re not competing with anyone else, ever again. They’re going to have to compete against you.
Being a Champion means raising the standard and never stop raising it. You are the one who others are measuring up against. You set the bar. You don’t compare yourself to anyone else. You are the one that others compare themselves too. This means that you never settle again. It means you never give up. You make the rules that others follow. Being unstoppable is not easy but nothing worth doing is easy. You are relentless in what you do. You will never regret the work that you put into being a Champion. You have what it takes to be the best. Don’t back away now. You were created to be the difference in peoples’ lives. Are you ready to be great?

Truly relentless people–Champions–are unstoppable, with dark sides that refuse to be taught to be good.
When we talk about a Champion’s dark side, we don’t mean they are evil. But there is a side to every great person that I have ever known that could be described as their dark side. This is the side of them that you never see. This is the place that they go that no one else knows about. It is their greatness. That is what we mean by they refuse to be taught good. Not good and bad, but good and great. But to a Champion, good is bad because they are striving for greatness. To be the best isn’t good enough. They desire to be the greatest ever at what they do and who they are. So to be taught to be only good is not going to happen. They want to be taught to be relentless, unstoppable, a Champion. If you wonder if you are a Champion in the making, check and see if you are developing a dark side. Do you have a dark side today?

What greatness really requires is a willingness to be uncomfortable.
We talk a lot in Sports Psychology about being comfort being uncomfortable. To be a Champion you are going to be uncomfortable quite a lot. You are going to have to do the things that others won’t do. Why won’t others do them? Because they are not comfortable being uncomfortable. People that choose to be average don’t want to sacrifice to be the best. To be unstoppable means you have to put in the hard work, the time, the dedication. Being uncomfortable becomes your new comfort zone. Taking your game to the next level is going to require you to go to the next level too. It will require you to be relentless in your training. It doesn’t matter what it is you’re doing. You have to out work your opponent. When they get uncomfortable and quit, you’re just getting started. Are you willing to be comfortable being uncomfortable today?

We’ve all had seasons when the challenges of life feel overwhelming.
During those times, it’s tempting to talk about how bad things are. Maybe you received a bad medical report, or maybe you’re facing a financial situation. But the more you talk about something, the bigger it becomes in your mind. Instead, you’ve got to dig your heels in and say, “No, I am not going to give life to that defeat. I am not going to speak sickness over myself. I’m not going to speak lack. I’m not going to speak fear. I’m choosing a different report. I believe the truth about my life. I am a Champion. I am relentless. I am unstoppable!” Remember, even if you don’t see how things could ever work out, don’t quit. You’ve got to speak to those situations in your life. You got this! Start today speaking the Champion truth about your life. Take charge of your destiny. You only have one shot in your life, make it count. What are you speaking over your life today?

What’s happened in your past is not nearly as important as what is in your future.
Where you’re going is much more significant than where you’ve been. But if you stay focused on the past, you’ll get stuck where you are. This is the reason a lot of people don’t have joy or enthusiasm for life. They’re dragging around all of this negative baggage from the past. Somebody offended them last week, and they’ve got that stuffed in their resentment bag. Last month, they lost their temper and said some things they shouldn’t have. They’ve got that in their guilt and condemnation bag. Ten years ago, they lost a friend. They still don’t understand it. They’ve got that hurt and pain in their disappointment bag. They carry around their bag of regrets, all the things they wished they would have done differently. Life is too short to live that way. Learn to travel light. Every morning when you first get up, forgive the people that did you wrong the day before. Forgive your spouse for what they said. At the start of the day, let go of the disappointments, the setbacks from yesterday. Start every morning fresh and new. God did not create you to carry around all that baggage. Let it go and move forward in the life of blessing He has in store for you. Are you ready to let go of the baggage?
