Actions and Words

Let them know you are a Champion by your actions, not your words or emotions.

A Champion allows their actions to speak for them. Pretenders and contenders use words and hype to get attention. A Champion knows that won’t work. People get tired of all the hollering and acting out. Just go do work. Do what you do best and let people see your results. Being unstoppable means you don’t have to do much talking. Your actions speak for you. You know what to do and you go do it. Be the leader that shows others you will do what needs to be done. Be the difference in the world around you with your actions. Today it seems like people like to do talk more about how great they are and what they can do. However, all that doesn’t mean anything unless you are unstoppable and relentless. A Champion knows that if you have to do a lot of talking then you aren’t there yet. Take your game to the next level by being a person of little talk but strong actions. What is speaking for you today?

Work of a Champion

There is no privilege greater than the pressure to be a Champion, and no greater reward than earning the respect and awe of others.

I challenge you today to respond to the internal pressure to be a Champion. The price of being unstoppable is high, but the payoff is higher. We all want the rewards of being a Champion, but few are willing to put in the work. There are days when you just don’t feel like doing what it takes to be relentless. Those are the days when you have to double your effort. Do something that you don’t want to do. Champions don’t go by their feelings. Champions go by what has to be done and then do it. Remember, do or do not; there is no try. Determine today that you will do the work of a Champion. Whatever your field is, do your work with excellence. There is absolutely no reason or excuse for you not to be the best at what you do. You were created by God for this. This is your day. Be the Champion that you know you are supposed to be. Are you ready to do the work of a Champion?

Life Pain

When you’re going through a world of pain, you never hide. You show up to work ready to go, you face adversity and your critics and judges.

This is the mark of a Champion in any walk of life. It doesn’t matter what you are doing. If you can stand tall in the middle of hell on earth and take it on; you’re a Champion. Someone that is unstoppable in their purpose no matter what is happening around them is a Champion. We all have to endure the pain of life at times. It’s those that don’t give up and quit but rise to the occasion that go to the front of the class. Champions don’t make excuses for what has happened. I know in my life, I am responsible for 99% of the pain I have endured. I am the cause of adversity because of the decisions I have made. When I decided and was determined to stand up to my mess did I find the inner strength that is in all of us. When I would stand up and take a step forward, God would take 10 for me. Today, rather than trying to avoid pain in your life, take it on. Show up and do what you do. Show others that with God all things are possible. There is more inside of you than you may realize. Stop trying to just get by and survive the pain, but thrive on it today. Let it take you to a higher level of purpose and destiny. Be unstoppable, relentless, a Champion today? Are you standing tall in your pain today?

Do Work

Being unstoppable makes you an icon. Being unstoppable only comes with hard work.

Those people that are relentless and unstoppable are only that way because of smart, hard work. There are no short cuts to becoming a Champion. Well, I will say, the only short cut is to do it right the first time. When you try to do things the easy way or take plays off you will only find that you have to start all over. Do it the right way the first time and move on to the next task. You have to be the one that takes the path less traveled, which is the high road. You have to do the things others won’t do. Be the one to forgive first, be the one in the gym first, be the one to apologize first. The list is endless. There is a demand for unstoppable people today. I believe that your name is on that list. Break out of the norm and be the Champion God created you to be. Put in the time, the effort and see the results. Are you ready for some hard work today?

Responsibility

Taking on responsibility not looking for privileges is a mark of a Champion.

When you are given much, you tend to expect much. That is one of the issues with privilege. When you haven’t had to work hard for something, but have been given it, it’s not the same. Privilege over responsibility has hurt a lot of people. The better and higher a person goes they expect more and more privileges. However, a Champion knows that the higher they go, the more responsibility they have and the fewer privileges. It’s the upside down triangle image. The farther up you go the smaller the privilege point. I have seen many people fall because they couldn’t handle the privilege point. A Champion has to be take on more responsibility than those around. A relentless person is one who isn’t looking for privileges in the first place. Be the person in the room that takes the responsibility for making it happen. Don’t look for someone to hand it to you, but go do it. That’s a key point for a Champion. Be unstoppable by taking the responsibility of getting it done. Are you taking responsibility today?

Strength Zone

Part of being a Champion is knowing what you have to give up to do the work.

To be the absolute best in what you do, you will have to give up something in another area. You won’t be a Champion in every area of your life, but there is an area that God has created you to be the best. There will be an area in your life that has to take a backseat to your talent area. The question is what area will that be. Stay focused in your strength area. This is to say that don’t try to be a unstoppable in every area. If you aren’t really good at something, then that’s okay. Stay on top in what you do. I have never been good in math, so I don’t try to get a lot better, because it’s not a strength of mine. I spend energy in the area that I am the best. Take inventory of what you are doing in life and see what you need to give up. What do you need to give up right now?

Long-Term Payoff

Champions don’t care about instant gratification; they invest in the long-term payoff.

Champions are in for the long haul. One play, one game, one season doesn’t make a you a Champion. The same goes for one business deal, one sale, one class doesn’t make you a Champion. You have to be unstoppable to be a Champion. You have to be relentless. You don’t stop after one day goes your way. You keep grinding it out, day after day, year after year. It doesn’t matter if you’re in sports, business, stay at home mom, or student you have to let be in for the long run. This is one reason today there are fewer Champions. People seem to want everything quick and easy. That’s not a Champion. Find your strength area, your gifted zone and be the best ever at what you do. Get better every day. Grow every day. Prepare your mind and body to be in this until the end. When you get to the top, then raise the top higher and keep climbing. You have what it takes to be the best, to be a Champion. Develop your mental toughness and discipline to stay in it for the duration. Are you ready to stay for the long-term payoff?

Be Decisive

A Champion makes decisions not suggestions, you know the answer while everyone else is still asking questions.

Being a Champion you have to be decisive. To be decisive you must have the information you need to make the correct decision and to make it quickly. How do y you get the information? You prepare ahead of time. You read books that have information about the area you are in. You turn your iPod into a library of books. You listen to podcasts and books during your drive time, workout time, break time. You take the time to read the material that is current and up-to-date in your field. Make time to listen to people that have gone before you and are Champions in your sport, career area, or what you are interested in doing. We love to to entertained, but doing the work first. If you are going to be unstoppable, then you have to do the work that is necessary. You have to be able to make the decision on what to do before others. Be prepared, be a Champion! Are you able to make the right decision before everyone else?

Take Responsibility Today

If you did it, own it. If you said it, stand by it. Not just the mistakes, but all your decisions and choices.

Taking responsibility for all your actions is a must for a Champion. Whether positive or negative own your stuff. We usually talk about taking responsibility for your actions in the negative aspect. However, I want to encourage you to take responsibility for the positive stuff that you do too. Stand by all that you do. By doing this you will be more careful in all that you say and do. We all have done and said things that we aren’t proud of and some we are proud of. The common denominator is that we are the one that did it or said it. As a Champion you have to be transparent. So be careful what you say, what you do, and where you go. People are watching you and listening to you. As a Champion you are in more of the spotlight than you may like. You may not be on the National News but if you’re not careful you just may be. When I see you on the news I want to see you lifting a Championship trophy. Are you responsible for your actions today?

Small Things

A Champion’s internal pressure is getting on yourself for something no one else would even notice and challenge yourself to get it right.

An unstoppable person is one who notices the small things we didn’t do right and then making the corrections. Many people, those who have decided to be average, don’t even notice these things any longer. Being a Champion means you do take notice of the small things. I have heard that we are not supposed to sweat the small things. People who don’t take notice of the small things can be good, but they will never be unstoppable. Not unless they do correct the little things that aren’t right. Even some of the people who are great notice the small things that aren’t right, but they don’t take the time to correct them. Again, it’s the Champion that challenges himself to make the correction. You can see why there are not many Champions in the world today. You have to be willing to do what others won’t do. Then when you reach the top, you raise the top even higher. Are you correcting the small things in your life today?
