Heart Walls

The only walls that can hold us back are the walls that divide our hearts.

In ancient times walls used to be built to protect a city from their enemies. But over time the walls isolated the people from the outside world. The walls then were more of a prison than a protection. The same process happens inside of people that build walls in their heart. Maybe you have been hurt by someone and you build a wall to protect your heart from being hurt. However over time the wall has divided your heart and is causing you more hurt than the other person ever did to you. Boundaries are good and healthy, but walls in your heart are harmful. Walls will do more damage than good in your heart. Today if you have walls in your heart it’s time to tear them down. Forgive and release the hurt. You will have rebuild trust over time but forgive today. Get the walls down and move forward. Do you have walls in your heart?
