Passing People

People passing people. Everyday you pass by people, but do you know what they are going through at that moment?

Driving back home from a visit down in south Alabama, I passed by a man walking on the side of the road. It was in a secluded rural area, about 10 miles from the nearest town. I had not seen a car anywhere on side of the road. However, I didn’t think anything about at that time though. He didn’t look like he was in distress or needed anything. Later on I thought about what I could have done. I had water with me, I could have offered that to him. We pass by people everyday in many ways. Do you really know what they need, what they are going through? What are we doing to help those around us? Don’t do like I did and make it an after thought. Whether you are driving down the road or passing someone in your own home, take time to see what they need. We take it for granted that since they didn’t say anything that all is okay. We have our own agenda and what we need to do in our mind. Today take time to see what you can do to meet the need of that person you pass. Will you take the time to stop and see if you can help meet a need?
