Ubuntu

02 16 11 Wednesday

An African proverb “Ubuntu”: “I am what I am because of who we all are.” A translation: A single straw of a broom can be broken easily, but the straws together are not easily broken.

A person with Ubuntu is open and available to others, affirming of others, does not feel threatened that others are able and good, for he or she has a proper self-assurance that comes from knowing that he or she belongs in a greater whole and is diminished when others are humiliated or diminished.  A person that lives a lifestyle of Ubuntu is a person that knows what unconditional love is all about.  They know and understand that without relationships there is no living.  Our existence, our destiny and purpose is all tied to our relationships.  We don’t get to pick who we love, we are to love everybody.  There will those that are close and in your inner circle, but everyone is in the group. I am still getting a grasp of Ubuntu and unconditional love, but the revelation of this is awesome.  I want to encourage you to begin to explore the idea of Ubuntu and unconditional love, they go hand in hand.  We all exist for one another.  Begin to love unconditionally today!
