Your I Am

Have you ever considered the power of the statement, “I am”?

What follows these two simple words will determine what kind of life you live. ” I am strong. I am healthy.” Or, “I am slow. I am unattractive. I am stupid.” The “I am’s” that are coming out of your mouth will bring either success or failure. All through the day the power of “I am” is at work in our minds. Many times we use the power of “I am” against us. We don’t realize how it’s affecting our future. Here’s the principle. What follows the “I am” will always come looking for you. The good news is that you get to choose what follows the “I am.” When you go through the day saying, “I am unstoppable,” you become unstoppable. “I am talented.” Talent comes looking for you. You may not feel up to par but when you say, “I am healthy,” health starts heading your way. “I am strong.” Strength starts tracking you down. You’re inviting that into your life. Get up in the morning and invite good things into your life. Declare “I am relentless. I am strong. I am talented. I am disciplined. I am focused. I am a Champion.” And always make sure the truth follows “I am”! What is your I AM today?

Under Pressure

There is no privilege greater than the pressure to be a Champion, and no greater reward than earning the respect and awe of others.

I challenge you today to respond to the internal pressure to be a Champion. The price of being unstoppable is high, but the payoff is higher. We all want the rewards of being a Champion, but few are willing to put in the work. There are days when you just don’t feel like doing what it takes to be relentless. Those are the days when you have to double your effort. Do something that you don’t want to do. Champions don’t go by their feelings. Champions go by what has to be done and then do it. Remember, do or do not; there is no try. Determine today that you will do the work of a Champion. Whatever your field is, do your work with excellence. There is absolutely no reason or excuse for you not to be the best at what you do. You were created for this. This is your day. Be the Champion that you know you are supposed to be. Are you ready to do the work of a Champion?

Using Stress

Everyone wants to cut back on stress, because stress kills. I say, NO, Stress is what brings you to life. Let it motivate you to win.

Stress is most people’s life is a pipe buster. Stress to the untrained person causes medical conditions that do harm to the mind and body. However, to a Champion, someone that is unstoppable, stress is a positive thing. A person that is relentless will take stress and use it to push them higher. To this person; stress produces diamonds. Stress looked at in the proper perspective is great. Really the only time stress is a negative factor is when you don’t know what you are doing. If you are unprepared to go; then stress is an anchor holding you back. Stress to a Champion, who is highly prepared is like helium, it takes you up and over. This is why being prepared is so vital. Take the time to invest in whatever it is you do. If you don’t you will not ever be at the top of your game. Stress will keep you average if not worse. Today is the day to begin preparing to be the Champion you were created to be. Stress will never be a negative word in your vocabulary ever again. Are you ready to make stress your catalyst today?

Rewards

Minimal expectations, minimal pressure….minimal rewards.

You will get out of it; what you put into it. Have you been disappointed to the point that you don’t expect much anymore? If I don’t expect much then I won’t be disappointed. However, a Champion isn’t like this. A Champion knows that with high expectations, high pressure; there will be high reward. Nothing worth doing has low expectations or minimal pressure. High stakes, high risk, high payoff. It all goes to say that; Champions like the thrill of pressure situations. Don’t ever look for the easy job or situations. Never let the fear of the power of situation cause you to step back. Be the one that has the expectation of being a Champion. Be the one that uses the pressure to bring out the best. The reward then is being unstoppable and relentless. There is nothing like being the one who goes against the odds and wins time and time again. Expectations, pressure, rewards anyone?

High Pressure

Champion intentionally creates situations to jack up the pressure even higher, challenging yourself to prove what you’re capable of.

We have talked in other blogs about how a Champion uses pressure like helium, to rise above those that pressure is like an anvil. With that being said, an unstoppable, relentless Champion will create pressure situations in order to rise to the top of their game. The only way to truly see what you are made of and what you are capable of is to perform at the highest level. What makes others give up and quit; is what takes a Champion to the very top. They don’t give the honor of being Champion to those that can’t handle the pressure. Honestly, a Champion isn’t usually one that can just handle the pressure. The Champion is the one who isn’t willing or wanting to, but does create the pressure. Control the pressure, control the situation. Pressure makes people make mistakes and get careless because they don’t like pressure. If you fear pressure then you won’t perform well. That’s why to be a Champion you have to welcome pressure, perform at your best under the most pressure, and then finally create the pressure. Are you creating pressure to take you to the top today?

Being a Champion

A Champion doesn’t want to give up the thing others aren’t willing to do.

Being a Champion is tough work. Doing what others aren’t willing to do is one thing that separates the best from the unstoppable. The best are really, really good, but a Champion is a stop above the best. Being a Champion means you aren’t just the best, but you are relentless and unstoppable. You have to do the unthinkable. You have to do what can’t be done. A Champion doesn’t see anything as being impossible. They see the impossible as necessary. I want to encourage you today to step up to the plate and do the impossible. Do what others aren’t willing to do. Take your purpose in life to the next level. Be the Champion! Be relentless and unstoppable. Are you willing to do the thing others aren’t willing to do?

Mistakes

When you’re confident, you don’t care about what others think; you can take your mistakes seriously but still keep moving forward because you know its ok.

If you are trying, making attempts, making a difference then you are going to make mistakes. It is unavoidable. The only ones that aren’t making mistakes are those that are doing nothing. At the same time, doing nothing, is a mistake in itself. However, if you are unstoppable, then when you do make a mistake, you make it right and then move forward. You don’t beat yourself up and spend a week in a funk. A Champion has the unique ability not to take himself too seriously. They are serious about what they do, but know they can laugh at themselves when needed. There is a balance in being unstoppable and relentless. When you can shake off a mistake and keep doing what you do, then you are close to having balance. Many people never find the balance in their life that it takes to be a Champion. Are you able to move forward when you make a mistake?

The Voice Inside

If you’re serious about going where you’ve never been, pushing higher and farther, it’s time to trust the voice inside to be unstoppable.

We all have that inner voice that pushes us forward. We also have one that tells us that we can’t make it. Which one do you listen to? The one you feed the most is the one that will speak the loudest. To be unstoppable you have to completely shut out the other voice. Don’t let it continue to talk to you. Today it’s time to trust the relentless, unstoppable, Champion voice that is speaking to you. Unfortunately not everyone listens to this voice. If you are going to be your very best, however, you have to listen to the voice that refuses to let you give up. There is too much for you to accomplish to even consider giving up. I understand that you may be going through a tough season in your life. All the more reason to step up your game. Put in the work and time to be the absolute best, to be unstoppable. You will never regret the effort you put into being your best. You would regret not putting in time and listening to the inner voice that encourages you to be unstoppable. Which voice are you listening to today?

Practice Time

If you want to perform at a level of a Champion you must practice at a level of a Champion.

Allen Inversion, former NBA star, made a joke about practice that is still played on YouTube. However, practice is what develops the Champion in you. The way you practice is how you will perform. Whether you are an athlete, stay at home mom, business man or a student it holds true. Your preparation makes all the difference. Practice does not make perfect. Only perfect practice makes perfect. How you prepare to do what you do is how you will preform what you do. Don’t take for granted your practice time. Make each repetition count. Learn and grow during practice. By changing your perspective about preparation and practice will make all the difference in how you perform. If you desire to be a Champion, to be unstoppable, then it starts with practice. How do you practice today?

Mental Battles

There is a battle going on in our minds.

Our thoughts dictate our actions. That’s why it can so easy to have your mind go in the wrong direction. Sometimes, it’s not our own thoughts that are holding us back; sometimes it’s that we’ve believed the negative things that other people have spoken. Those words are like weeds. If you dwell on them long enough, they’ll take root and become reality. In life, there will always be people telling you what cannot be done, speaking negative things. Too often we hold on to those negative words and develop a “stronghold.” That’s a wrong thought or action that keeps us from becoming a Champion . The way you break those negative strongholds is by rejecting the lie, forgiving the person, and standing on the truth. In other words, you have to choose to delete that negative file in your mind. Today, why don’t you take inventory of your thought life? Ask yourself, “Where did these thoughts come from? Do they line up with what God says about me?” Break the negative strongholds and hold on to the truth so you can be the relentless, unstoppable Champion you were created to be! Are you winning the mental battle today?
