Encouraged to Encourage

A little courage can go a long way, especially if you don’t quit when you’re uncomfortable.

Having courage, to be en-courage, both are dealing with the heart. It takes heart, or a strong spirit to stand strong. When we say heart we are not talking about your blood pump. When referring to courage we are talking about your spirit. It takes a strong spirit to not quit when life gets tough. It’s when life gets tough, not if life gets tough. Life is going to get tough. Do you have the courage to stand during the tough times? When you have courage you find it not so uncomfortable when life gets uncomfortable. It takes someone who can be comfortable with being uncomfortable. When you reach this point then you are “required and expected” to encourage others coming behind you. The old mentality of ‘I had to go through hell and so do you,’ is so selfish. When we can encourage someone and help them through the uncomfortable times, then we should do so. I do believe we should all experience forms of positive failure. Failure that we learn from and not fold up and quit from. Be encouraged today to not give up or quit during your uncomfortable days. Then encourage others that are coming behind you. Walk with them through their uncomfortable days. Are you encouraged today?

A Look at Perspective

Our perspective towards life determines life’s perspective towards us. Have a awesome day everyone be that positive light in someone’s life today.

It’s easy to get focused on what’s wrong in life, what we don’t have, and how big our obstacles are. If we’re not careful, we’ll lose sight of all the good things God has done. We’ll take for granted our family, friends, health and the opportunities God has blessed us with. We’ll get so busy and stressed out that we won’t appreciate the gift of today. What’s happened? Our perspective has gotten off. Perspective is all about how we see a situation. There’s power in your perspective because you will draw into your life what you constantly meditate on. Business may be slow. The economy may be down. The wrong perspective is, “I’ll never make it. It’s just too much.” The right perspective is, “God is supplying all of my needs. He said He would prosper me even in a desert.” Today, I encourage you to evaluate your perspective. Choose to lift your eyes to God the Father no matter what is happening in your circumstances. Remember, as you set your perspective in the right direction, your life will follow. When you keep an attitude of faith and expectancy, you open the door for His blessing in every area of your life. Do you need to change your perspective today?

No Regrets

Don’t go through life with regrets, everything that has happened was meant to happen to make you a better person.

Is there something that you’ve done in your past that you’re not particularly happy about? A choice that you regret? The good news today is that you can be free of guilt and condemnation. You don’t have to live with that burden any longer. God’s mercies are new every morning. He’s not ever going to run out of compassion. He’s not ever going to run out of forgiveness. He’s not ever going to say, “Well, this is the last time I’m going to give you mercy.” No, you can have a new beginning every single day! Let that truth sink down deep into your heart right now. If there is anything from the past that you may still be carrying, take a moment and call on His faithfulness. Call on His mercy. Ask for His forgiveness. Let Him refresh and restore your soul right now. You can be a better person by learning from your mistakes. Don’t live with regret another day. Be free from that weight right now. Don’t be controlled by regret any longer. Today is your today to be free.  Are you living with unnecessary regret today?

Believing in Your Self

Believe in yourself and others will see the good in you and follow your lead, but carry a big ego will leave you lonely and hopeless.

Click to listen to Podcast:

People allow the opinions of others to hold them back and water down their dreams. We have to realize, there will always be critics and doubters in your life. One of the most important things you can learn is that other people don’t have to believe in you in order for your dreams to become reality. Other people don’t set the limits for your life — you do. It’s not what others say about you that affects your life, but what you say and believe about yourself. It doesn’t matter if other people don’t believe. Their unbelief is not going to keep me from believing in my dreams. When God puts a promise in your heart, it’s not up to other people to bring it to pass, it’s up to you! You don’t need everyone to validate you. You have to follow the voice of God for yourself and allow Him to order your steps. Know that God sees the hidden treasures inside of you. He wants to bring those treasures out and make your dreams reality. As you get rid of the old, defeated thoughts and replace them with what God says about you, you will remove the limits so you can live the abundant life God has in store for you.

Opportunity to Grow

The next time you are in a difficult time, you may not see it as a growth opportunity, but it is–you can bank on it.

It may seem like others around you have no problems. As you look at their lives, you may wonder why things are always so good for them. They seem to move from one great experience to the next, while you’re struggling to get by and keep your head above water.  From a distance you start thinking things like, It’s not fair. Why can’t I get a break? When is it going to be my turn? If you’ve ever had these thoughts, I want to let you in on a little secret. We all face challenges and problems! We all face obstacles that tempt us to be discouraged, to settle for less or to give up hope. But the important thing is what we do when those challenges come our way. With every problem, we have a choice: Will I still believe God is a good God and that He has great things in store for me, or will I settle for less than God’s best?  When you face challenges, especially really significant ones, it’s easy to slide into survival mode, but we’re not supposed to stay there! Even in your most difficult season, there is still opportunity. God has given you everything you need to succeed. He wants you to do more than survive; He wants you to grow. Don’t let your problems shape your expectations. You can live with confidence knowing that great things are coming your way. We believe that you can start new and fresh today. Remember, if you’ve slid into a survival mentality, don’t stay there. Go deeper and get planted. It all comes back to a simple choice: believe God is who He says He is. Are you in a difficult time right now? You ready to grow?

Points of Purpose

Turn the difficult, tough, unfair things happening to you times into “points of purpose.” Find your purpose and calling during these times.

For the most of us, we find our identity during the tough times. We find out what our purpose is when things are difficult. You will hear your calling when you find yourself in unfair situations. However, if you have a destiny perspective then these times become “points of purpose.” You will take the bad times and make them good times. Not so much because of what happened, but what you learn during that time. There may be some awful things taking place in your life right now, but take from it, don’t let it take from you. When life is coming at you and you don’t know what to do. Take a look at what can be learned. What about your purpose, calling, and identity can you learn. This is a time to get better; not bitter. Everyone will not do this. Some will complain, blame and give up when life is unfair. You are not one of these people. You are a victor; not a victim. You are better than this. You have worked too hard, too long, to give up now. This is your day, your time to overcome. Is there something going on in your life today that you can learn from?

Standing Tall

It’s usually not the most talented who win, but those who persevere through the pain and are able to handle unexpected challenges that win.

What are you believing God for today? Promotion? Healing? Stronger relationships? Deliverance? God has promised all these things to you in His Word because it’s His heart for you to live in blessing and wholeness. When you follow the will of God by obeying His Word and precepts, it opens the door for His promises to be fulfilled in your life. You may be doing all the right things today — don’t give up! Perseverance will carry you to the promise. Perseverance means that you are focused, that you are believing what God says about your situation. It’s looking away from distractions and any negative, defeating thoughts. Perseverance looks away from discouragement and looks to the Word of God. Perseverance has a voice, and it says things like, “No weapon formed against me shall prosper! If God is for me, who can be against me! I am more than a conqueror through Jesus!” Whatever you are believing for today, keep believing! Stand strong and fight the good fight of faith. Ask God to give you endurance, perseverance and patience so that you can see His promises fulfilled in every area of your life. Is there something you are standing for today in your life?

Reason but Not Right

Just because you a reason doesn’t give you the right. You may have a reason to not forgive someone but that doesn’t give you the right.

Everybody has been hurt by someone. Just because you have been hurt does not give you the right not to forgive. The reasons are all there, the lies, the deception, the backbiting, the hurts, but the right isn’t. People are too concerned about their rights, but as a person of purpose rights are not so important. Especially when it comes to forgiveness, love, and acceptance. Reasons then don’t always equal rights. You do have the right to forgive when you have reason not to. You do have the right to love when you don’t want to because of what has been done to you. Don’t let your rights get in the way of the reasons. Always be the first to forgive, be the first to love, be the first to accept. When you have reasons to withhold your approval for someone, don’t make it a right. Show your approval.  It’s easy to want to stand for all your rights, but we don’t always have the privilege to do so. Be a person of destiny, a person of purpose. Stand up for what it is right, but don’t be so consumed with your rights. Is there someone today that has given you reason to not forgive but you give away that right?

Negative Voices

Remove those that doubt you, talk negative to you and criticize you. Positive motivation is stronger, more powerful and will take you farther.

Anytime you set out to do something great in life, there will be critics. If you’re going to be a great businessperson, coach, student, leader or employee, there will be opposition. The more success you have, the more opportunities there will be for distractions. The higher you go, the more haters will come out. When you start stretching to a new level and pursuing what God has placed in your heart, the jealous people, the critical people, and the small-minded people will start making negative comments, but you don’t have to let that distract you. If you are under pressure today, if the critical voices are coming against you, know that it’s because you are making a difference. Don’t let them throw you off course. Instead, dig your heels in, and say, “I will not get distracted. I will not get drawn into battles that don’t matter. It doesn’t matter what others think; it matters what God thinks!” Today, look beyond the critics. Stand strong in adversity. Press forward to what lies ahead and win the prize of life that He has prepared for you. Are there negative people in your life today that you need to stop listening to?

See Your Vision

There’s a big difference between sight and vision. Your sight can feed your vision but only if you are able to see with your vision.

If you watch television for any length of time, it won’t be long before you see products and pills advertised to make you thinner, smarter, younger looking, more successful and ultimately claim to change your life. The truth is all you need in order to change your life is already inside you. God has given you the ability and the power to be transformed into the person He created you to be. I heard somebody said, “Sight has to do with what we can see, but vision has to do with what we can be.” The reason some people are stuck at the same level is because their vision is limited. They don’t see themselves growing, increasing, being promoted or getting healthier. All they see is more of the same. More disappointment. More struggle. More defeat. They’re producing what they’re seeing. Don’t let that be you! Instead, let the truth renew your thinking. See yourself the way God sees you. See yourself rising higher. See yourself becoming stronger, healthier and wiser. Change the picture you have of your life, and you will change your life. See yourself the way God sees you and receive the wonderful blessings He has in store for your future. Are you ready to change your vision about yourself?
