In Charge

The next time you find yourself in the midst of a bad experience, remind yourself you can take this time to learn and grow from it.

I want you to live an abundant and satisfied life. I want you to enjoy the fullness of  life and experience God’s goodness everywhere you go. It’s easy for people to get stuck in a rut, doing the same thing the same way all the time. But when you open yourself to new people, new experiences and new ideas, you are making room for God to reveal Himself to you and work in different ways in your life. When you stretch yourself, you increase your abilities, and you increase your influence in the world around you. This week, make the decision to explore something new. Take a different route home from work. Try something new on the menu at lunch. Be open to new people who may not necessarily look like you or act like you. Let God direct your life. Look for new opportunities to grow and stretch so you can live the full, satisfied life the Lord has in store for you. Are you letting God be in charge of your life today?

Mind Training

Many people today don’t realize that the reason they’re not happy, the reason they’re not enjoying life is simply because they’ve trained their minds in the wrong direction.

They’ve trained their minds to worry. They’ve trained their minds to complain. They’ve trained their minds to see the negative. But just as you can form these negative mindsets, you can retrain your mind according to the truth and form godly mindsets. I believe one of the main keys to retraining your mind and developing a positive attitude is by learning to stay grateful. When you stay grateful, you are focusing on what’s right rather than what’s wrong. The seed of the truth takes root in the good ground of your heart. This doesn’t happen automatically, you have to discipline yourself. You have to make a conscious effort every single day until a good habit is formed. The seeds of discouragement cannot take root in a grateful heart. Neither can bitterness, envy or strife. So today, retrain your mind and be empowered with His strength to overcome in every area of your life. Are you training your mind in the right way today?

To the Next Level Blog/Podcast

One of the key characteristics of highly successful people is that they spend their time with those who are already performing at that next level.

To be the best you that you can be, you will need to be around those that have done the same. Surround yourself with people that are successful. You need people in your life that can bring the best out in you. You need to be with people that will stretch you, teach you, mentor you to be your very best. You will be like the inner circle of friends that you keep. So, be sure you keep a process minded group of friends. Then when you have taken your life to the next level, you in turn do it for someone else. Always pay it forward. Be that someone for another person that wants to be their best too. When you are secure in who you are, you will never have a problem helping someone else go to the next level. As you go through your day, look for ways to improve yourself. Look for ways to encourage and help others as well. Be the absolute best you that you can possibly be. Make a difference in others with your life. Are you ready to take your life to the next level?

Freedom From Your Fear

The habitual choice to let fear and comfort determine your decisions will prevent you from living an extraordinary life.

So many people today are living with less than they should be because they’ve allowed fear to creep in and take root in their lives. Fear is the greatest weapon the enemy uses to try to hold us back. Fear is not from God. Fear brings torment. It’s designed to paralyze us and keep us from living our destiny. The good news is that God is greater than fear. His power in you is greater than any power that comes against you. But, in order to walk in His power, you have to close the door on the enemy. See, the enemy can’t have access to your life unless you open a door and give him access. That’s why we have to be careful about what we watch, what we listen to, what we read, and what we say. When we open ourselves to fear, we give the enemy opportunity. If you’ve allowed fear to steal from you in any area of life, today you can be free — you can be finished with fear. Conquering the enemy starts by making the choice to close the door on fear by receiving God’s love and meditating on His promises. Keep working your process free from fear.

Let Your Light Shine

Most of your fear is not that you are good enough, but that you may be too good.

Your deepest fear is not that you are inadequate. Your deepest fear is that you are powerful beyond measure. It is your light, not your darkness, that most frightens you. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so other people do not feel insecure around you. You were made to shine as children do. It is not just in some of you. It is in everyone. And as you let your own light shine, you unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As you are liberated from your own fear, your presence automatically liberates others. Are you letting your light shine to the fullest?

Ready for Success

God has equipped you with everything you need to fulfill your destiny.

That means you are well able to do what He has called you to do. You can accomplish your goals. You can fulfill your dreams! You have the ideas, the creativity, and talent to be successful. You can overcome any obstacle. You’ve been armed with strength for every battle. Not only has God equipped you, but He is also working on your behalf. He has already gone before you and lined up the right people and the right opportunities. You have everything you need to live a victorious life — you were created to excel! You may not have seen it in the past, but if you’ll stay in faith, it’s just a matter of time; victory is on its way. Don’t settle where you are. Don’t have a weak, defeated mentality. Have the attitude, “I am anointed. I can accomplish my dreams. I can overcome any obstacle. I am empowered by God, and I am thoroughly equipped for every good work that He has called me to!” Are you ready to be successful and reach your destiny?

Life Story

Did you know that God has already written out the story of your life?

He’s written out plans for your good, plans to prosper you, plans for peace. That doesn’t mean that you won’t go through negative situations. It means that God will use everything you go through to move you forward toward that good plan. When things happen that we don’t understand, it’s easy to think, “Why did this happen? Why did this friend betray me? Why did this company lay me off? Why didn’t I get that promotion?” But, you can’t let the things you don’t understand keep you stuck on the same page in the story of your life. You have to decide to turn the page so that you can see the victory waiting for you in the next chapter. If you are facing a difficulty today, know that God’s plan is to turn it around and use it for your good. The story of your life isn’t over! Keep moving forward, keep believing, keep hoping, keep forgiving because your days are written out for good, and it’s time to turn the page and see the blessing He has in store for your life! Do you know your life’s story today?

Good Job

Work is a prison sentence only if it holds no meaning for you. Choose a job you love, and you will never work a day in your life.

If you hate your job or dread going to work today, then you may have chosen the wrong line of work. When your job is in your gifted area, in your passion area, and it is what you are good at; then you will never ‘work’ another day in your life. I get more ‘joke’ remarks on this subject than most any other. That is because those people hate their job and don’t think they can do anything about it. Your destiny, your purpose, your calling all line up with your work. They may not all be exactly the same, but they work together. Life is both too long and too short to spend it doing something you hate. Before you go and quit your current job, do your prep, do your studying to be sure it’s not you that you are not happy with. If it is the job you hate then maybe today is the day you start looking for what it is you were created to do. You may have to stay where you are until you are prepared to make a change. Could be you have to go back and take some classes. May have to get some more training. There could be a number of things you have to do before you can make a change. I recommend reading some books on changing jobs; Quitter is one and 48 Days to Job You Love is another. Do just exist where you are, but begin to live. Find the place you are supposed to be. Are you working a prison sentence job today?

Facing Your Tough Situations

It’s one thing to know that you’re going into a challenging season.

You get prepared for it. You get mentally ready. But what about the difficulties that we don’t see coming? The unexpected crisis that catches us off-guard? Sometimes, it can seem so overwhelming that it almost knocks the wind right out of us. The Bible says that we shouldn’t be surprised by tough situations. That’s because the forces of darkness would not be fighting against you if they didn’t know that God has something amazing in your future! Sometimes, those unexpected difficulties are just a sign that you’re on the right track. It’s always darkest just before the dawn appears. The enemy always fights the hardest when you are closest to your breakthrough. The key is to stay the course and keep fighting the good fight of faith. Keep your joy and keep declaring God’s Word over your future. God has promised that you will overcome every obstacle. You will defeat every enemy, and right now, I declare that you will fulfill your destiny in Jesus’ name. Are you ready to attack your tough situations today?

Facing Our Failures Blog/Podcast

Believe in yourself and don’t be afraid to fail. Your failures are typically the stepping stones to your greatest successes.

Click to listen to Podcast

A lot of the time when people make mistakes, they get down on themselves and think, “If only…” “I should have…” “What if…?” It’s easy to feel like you’ve missed the best plan for your life. That’s when people get discouraged and stop working their process. Understand today, just because you’ve made a mistake or failed in some way, that doesn’t cancel God’s plan. God never disqualifies you. He never says, “Go sit on the sidelines. You’ve blown it too many times. You’ve got too many weaknesses.” No, God always gives you another chance. Some of the great people in the Bible made very poor choices. The apostle Paul started off as a murderer, yet his destiny was bigger than his mistakes. He ended up becoming a great leader and writing over half of the New Testament. What am I saying? Our mistakes, our failures, our poor choices don’t have to keep us from our God-given destiny. With God, it’s not about the way you start in life, it’s about the way you finish. Receive His grace today and embrace the bright future He has in store for you. Keep working your process and do not give up. Are you facing failure today?
