What’s Happening?

What are you letting happen in your life?

In other words, what are you focusing your words, energy and thoughts on? You might say, “Oh, it’s just so hard right now. My finances are tight.” “My health doesn’t look good.” “Somebody walked out on me.” No, you’re focusing on the wrong things. You’re letting defeat, discouragement and self-pity rise up. Why don’t you turn that around and say, “Somebody may have walked out on me, but I know I am going to meet somebody better.” “I may be hurting right now, but I know my healing is coming.” “I may have an unexpected debt, but I know I will be debt free soon.” It’s time to get up and get moving in the right direction today. There is no setback that can keep you down. You were created for this time and place. Do what you do! Be the difference in the world! What are you doing today?

Encourage Other People

With so many people in the world telling us we can’t succeed, we need to hear people telling us we can.

Too often we think it’s our role to inject a dose of “reality” into someone’s life. We think it’s our job to protect people from the pain of failure and defeat. We think we must point out how bad the economy is and how horrible the job market is and how the sky is falling. We think that dreams were meant for others. I say there are enough pessimists and “realists” in the world. The world doesn’t need more negativity and impossible thinkers. The world needs more optimists, encouragers, and inspirers. The world needs more people to speak into the hearts of others and say “I believe in you.” “Follow your passion and live your purpose.” “If you have the desire then you also have the power to make it happen.” “Keep working hard.” “You’re improving and getting better. Keep it up.” “The economy is tough but you can still grow your business.” “The job market is not great but I believe you’ll find the right job for you.” “We’ve hit a lot of obstacles but we’ll get the project finished.” “Even if you fail it will lead to something even better.” “You’re learning and growing.” I encourage you today to encourage someone during your day. Are you encouraging others?

All You Are

Throughout life, we will always have forces opposing us to try to keep us from becoming all God’s created us to be.

Many times, the adversities and unfair situations are set up by the enemy to try to discourage us and deceive us into giving up on our dreams. Today, you may feel like you’re at an empty place in life. Not much is going your way. You’ve been through difficulties and setbacks. I believe God wants to restore you. He wants to encourage you. He wants to do a new thing in and through you. It doesn’t matter what’s happened in your past, God has something new for your future. God has placed so much inside of you. You have gifts, talents and abilities that no one else has. You may have had more than your share of unfair things happen. But it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish that matters. It’s time to shake off the past and shake off that discouragement. Are you ready to be all that God has created you to be today?

Word of Encouragement

Someone said that a single word of encouragement in rough times is worth a dictionary of words during good times.

Very often, we see potential in other people that they can’t see in themselves. When you speak vision into them, when you tell them what they can become, you can help set the direction for their life. Your words have the power to push people into their destiny. I believe that the reason some people are not living at their full potential is because no one has ever spoken faith into them. No one has taken the time to say, “Hey, you’re great at this. You’ve got a gift here. You’re going to do something amazing.” I believe that one of our assignments in life is to call out the greatness in other people. Look around at who God has placed in your life. They’re not there by accident. Take time to study them. See what they’re good at. What are their gifts? What do they excel at? Don’t just think about it, speak vision into them. Tell them what they can become. Let your encouragement ignite the greatness on the inside. Help them rise up in confidence so they can be all God has called them to be. Are you speaking encouragement to the people in your life today?

No Surrender

If you let discouragement language get in your head and take over, you will abandon your purpose and surrender silently.

We’ve all been in seasons of life when we feel like things aren’t going our way, or we’re not where we want to be. In these times, it’s tempting to let discouragement and doubt come in and take away the peace and excitement you once had. You may be in one of those seasons right now, struggling to truly be happy where you are. But this is not the way God wants you to live. He tells us in the Bible that even in the difficult times, He is with us. Even when you can’t see a way out, He will make a way through. Even when things don’t turn out the way we planned, He has a plan to turn things around for our good. The key is, don’t get upset about your circumstances. Instead, be determined to walk through to victory. You weren’t created to fail but for a purpose, for a reason. Enjoy your life and be a difference maker today? Are you living your life to the fullest?

Destiny

Discouragement is a state in which someone gives up on his or her destiny.

Are you facing challenges or difficulties today? Maybe something has happened that could easily discourage you and cause you to give up on your destiny. I want to remind you today that where you are is not where you are going to stay. God has a good plan in store for your future. When you stay in step with your destiny, you’ll walk right into victory. God wants to take you on an awesome, incredible adventure. Even if you are between victories right now, keep your passion. Keep your enthusiasm. Focus on the fact that God has another level for you. Never stop moving toward your destination. Today I encourage you, go out with a smile on your face. Give Him your best. Keep doing what you know to do. Don’t give up because you are so close to seeing some wonderful things happen in your life. Are you moving toward your destiny today?

Don't Ever Give Up

When you get discouraged, feel like giving up, especially when you are working so hard, but nothing is working; keep working your process.

Are you believing God for something that seems to be taking a long time? In the natural, you may have every reason to give up on what God has placed in your heart. At times, you may be tempted to get discouraged, but remember, God knows exactly where you are. He knows the desires He’s placed within you. He knows even the hidden dreams — what the Bible calls the secret petitions of your heart. Those are the things that you haven’t told anyone about. Maybe you thought they would never work out, or you’ve buried them because they didn’t happen on your timetable. But God still has a way to bring them to pass. Be encouraged today because God is working behind the scenes on your behalf. Don’t settle for mediocrity because God knows what’s in you, and His plan is to finish the work He began in you. Does this describe you today?

No Sense

Everyone goes through things that don’t seem to make sense.

It’s easy to get discouraged and wonder, “Why did this happen to me?” “Why did this person treat me wrong?” “Why did I get laid off?” But we have to understand, even though life is not always fair, God is fair. And, He promises to work all things together for good for those who love Him. I believe the key word is this verse is “together.” In other words, you can’t just isolate one part of your life and say, “Well, this is not good.” “It’s not good that I got laid off.” “It’s not good that my relationship didn’t work out.” Yes, that’s true, but that’s just one part of your life. God can see the big picture. That disappointment is not the end. Remember, when one door closes, God has another door for you to walk through — a better door. Those difficulties and challenges are merely stepping stones toward your brighter future. Be encouraged today because God has a plan for you to rise higher. He has a plan for you to come out stronger. He has a plan to work all things together for your good so that you can move forward in the victory He has prepared for you. Are you going through no sense stuff today?

Changing Labels

Throughout life, people are constantly sticking labels on you, telling you what you can and cannot become.

You have to remove the negative labels that can keep you from your destiny. People may label you as not good enough, too slow, too old, too many mistakes or wrong nationality, but God labels you strong, talented, valuable, a history maker, well able,  and more than good enough. As you remove the old labels–not believing or thinking about them anymore–the bondages that have held you back for years are going to be broken, and insecurity and inferiority are no longer going to have any effect on you. Today, begin to remove the old negative labels and replace them with the positive, correct labels. Don’t answer to the negative label name any longer, but answer to the truth, the correct and positive labels. What is your label saying?
