Hope

Hope is one of the key, critical and more vital things we need to hold on to in our life.  Without hope we are certain to give up during the tough times.

When you don’t give up on hope; then hope won’t give up on you.  Hope isn’t necessarily something you can reach out and touch, but oh it is there.  People have been able to survive some horrendous situations because they never lost hope.  Hope will make you much stronger than you ever thought you could be.  There is nothing that can replace hope in your mind and heart.  It comes through physically too.  You may be facing a situation right now and thinking to yourself; “There is no hope.” Stop right there, there is hope. As long as you are alive there is hope.  Never give up on hope.  Hope will be there for you when you need it the most.  Today, do a hope check and make sure you have hope.  Watch it see you through that situation like nothing else can.

Don't Be Afraid

Have you ever felt overwhelmed or afraid of what God has called you to do? Maybe you pursued a dream or goal in the past and things didn’t turn out the way you planned. Now you’re uncertain of the future.

Let me reassure you that God knows right where you are, and He knows how to get you where you need to be. Even when things don’t go the way you planned, His hand is on you. Do not be afraid. Trust that God is working behind the scenes on your behalf, that He will fulfill your dreams and lead you into the life of blessing that He has prepared for you.

Searching For

People all around you today are searching for that something to make their life complete. Many never seem to find it. They spend their whole life frustrated and miserable searching in vain.

What is it that you are looking for today? We all have a reason and purpose for being here. God created us full of destiny.  Until you get in that zone of what you were put here to do; you will spend your life searching.  What is your purpose today? Why are you here today? Stop trying to do and become.  Become the person that God created you to be.  Begin today to develop yourself, your talent, your gift.   Start to develop yourself spiritually.  You will find that peace and contentment you are looking for when you start living out your destiny and purpose.  How far you go in life will be determined by the close friends you have and the books you read.  How are you doing so far? It’s never too late to start your adventure. Today is your day!

Not Average

God has given you all power and authority to overcome every obstacle you may face in life. That means you are well able to do what God has called you to do. You can accomplish your goals. You have the ideas, the creativity and the talent to be successful. You have been armed with strength for every battle! God has already lined up the right people to come across your path; He’s already lined up the right opportunities. You have everything you need to live a victorious life. Not an average life, not a barely-get-by, mediocre life — you were created to excel. You have seeds of greatness on the inside.

You may not have seen it in the past, but if you’ll stay in faith, it’s just a matter of time — victory is on the way. Don’t settle where you are. Rise up in strength today and begin to declare, “I will accomplish my dreams. I can overcome any obstacle. I’ve been equipped and empowered to live in victory in every area of my life.”

Daily Gift

Sometimes our days can be so full and busy that we forget how fragile life really is. It’s easy to allow little things to creep in and steal our peace and joy. Maybe something doesn’t go our way or someone says something upsetting. Even traffic can cause us to lose focus if we let it. We have to remember that each day is a gift. If we choose to focus on what’s wrong, we’ll miss the beauty that each day has to offer.

I encourage you today; don’t let the precious moments of life pass you by. Don’t wait for holidays and birthdays to show people that you care. Remember, each day is unique and irreplaceable. You have been given time that can be invested or wasted; hours that can be used or misused. That’s why the psalmist prayed to God, “Teach us to number our days.” He was saying, “Teach us to value every moment we’ve been given.” As you daily keep a proper perspective, you’ll gain a heart of wisdom. You’ll draw closer to God and experience the full blessing that He has for you each and every day!

More Than Enough

God wants to bless you and multiply you. He wants to increase you above and beyond what you could ever ask, think or imagine. But sometimes, we fill our lives with so much that we simply don’t have room to receive all that God wants to give us. People fill their lives with good things, noteworthy obligations and impressive accomplishments. But “good” can be the enemy of “best.” We have to take the time to evaluate what we have in our hands and be willing to move some things out in order to make room for the new thing God has for us.

Take some time to evaluate your life. Be open to what God wants to do in and through you. If your hands are full, maybe it’s time to use what you have to bless other people. Don’t let holding on to yesterday keep you from God’s best. Instead, make room because He has abundant blessings in store for you.

Excuses Be Gone

We tend to make excuses when we don’t reach our goals.  It’s time to stop making excuses and take responsibility for our actions.

There are going to be times when we don’t reach our goal.  Sometimes it is not our fault, but it is our responsibility.  It does not mean you are a failure when you don’t reach a goal.  It could be that your goal was not realistic or it may not even be a goal you need to reach to begin with.  Just know that you are not a failure for not reaching a goal. Failure only comes when we quit or give up.  Making excuses for coming up short will not make us look any better.  Admit it and move on.  Determine whether or not you need to try again or move on to something else.  It is not the end of the world when we fall short of the mark.  Many times it is the just the beginning of something bigger and better.  Take time today to check your goals and the progress you are making toward them.  Also, make sure the goal is a goal you should be striving toward.

Despite It All

Do you ever feel weak or not good enough? Are you letting a weakness, failure, or insecurity keep you from reaching your destiny?  If so, it’s time to shake that off.

We all have weaknesses and insecurities.  Every one of us has unique flaws.  Every person that god has ever used had weaknesses and insecurities.  With God we can still do extraordinary things.  Even though we may be considered ordinary.  The key is we have to be willing to let God work through us.  Don’t let your limitations limit what God can become in your life.

God wants to work in your life right now to do great things.  If God chose us just based on our background, on our past performance, or even our talent or ability, none of us would have a chance.  However, God doesn’t choose us because of what we can become.  Don’t sit on the sidelines of life anymore.  God is saying; “I handpicked you not because you were perfect, not because you had it all together.  I chose you because I can see the potential inside of you.  I know what you can become.”  Now you’ve got to get back in the game.  Get your fire back.  Get your dreams back.  You’re not supposed to sit on the sidelines until you’re perfect. God wants to work through you right now with your limitations.  He wants to bless you despite your weaknesses. That way when you rise to a new level, God will get all the credit.

Letting it Go

In life, we all have unfair things that happen to us. We can choose to hold on to the hurt, become bitter and angry, and let it poison our future; or, we can choose to let it go and trust God to make it up to us. You not think that you are able to forgive because someone hurt you so badly. You might say, “Scott, you don’t know how I was raised.” “My ex-spouse caused me a lot of pain.” “This friend betrayed me.” “I just can’t let it go.” But realize, you don’t forgive for their sake; you forgive for your own sake. When you forgive, you are taking away their power to hurt you. But if you hold on to that offense and stay angry, you are only poisoning your own life and disconnecting yourself from God.

Forgiveness is like a door on your heart. If you shut the door and refuse to forgive, then God cannot forgive you. But when you open the door and allow forgiveness to flow from you, then His forgiveness can flow into you. Choose to forgive and open the door to receive God’s life, peace and healing today.
