Are You Planted

But you have to remember, as a Champion, you have greatness on the inside of you.

When you go through disappointments or tough times, you may feel like you’ve been buried. You may feel like you’re in a dark, lonely place. You may feel like it’s the end; but in reality, it’s only the beginning. The fact is, you haven’t been buried; you have been planted. That means you’re coming back. And not only are you coming back, but you’re coming back in strength, better and stronger than before! In those tough times, you’ve got to draw the line in the sand. Make a declaration, “This tough time is not going to bury me. This loss, this disappointment, this injustice is not going to cause me to give up on my dreams. I refuse to live in self-pity. I know I am a seed. That means I cannot be buried. I can only be planted. I may be down, but it’s only temporary. I know I’m not only coming back, I’m coming back even better than I was before!” Are you planted today?

Greatness

Great

One of signs of greatness is wanting something better for others. It’s the willingness to take second place if it means willfully moving others higher.

It’s easy to be someone’s friend when they’ve got it all together, when they’re walking in blessing and prosperity. Anybody can believe in people after they’re successful, after they graduate, after they’re promoted, after they get their big break. But, people need our support the most before they get their breakthrough. They need us to look past their faults and failures and see their potential. Most times, people just need a little “push” of encouragement to keep them moving forward. We should always put ourselves in the other person’s shoes and see things from their perspective. You may have some good advice that could save them a lot of heartache and pain. Don’t keep it to yourself. Pick up the phone. Help them win. Maybe you excelled in a college course that they’re struggling in. Don’t sit back and think, “Too bad. They’ve got to learn it the hard way.” When you help others rise higher, you are fulfilling your mission. Today, share your love, support and encouragement. Invest life in others, see their potential. Is there someone you need to help move higher?

Be Great

Champions don’t succeed because they are great.

They succeed because they bring out the greatness in others. Bill Russell, who played for the Boston Celtics, often said his goal was to make his teammates better. Bill Russell is a Champion. A Champion will demand the best from those around them. Being relentless you will not tolerate anything less than your best. When you bring out the greatness in those around you, you will win. Your mindset is about what is best for the team, not necessarily what is best for you. Sometimes what is best for all may not be so good for you, but as a Champion that is okay. You have the ability to be the difference in people’s lives. If you are going to be a Champion, make sure that you are others minded. Bring out the greatness in those around you and you will succeed in life. Are you bringing out the greatness?

Year of Greatness

This year, I believe, is going to be a year of greatness for many people.

Maybe you’ve been facing some difficulties. Remember, great difficulties lead to great victories. Maybe you’ve felt like the storms of life have been blowing against you, trying to hold you back. I believe this year that the winds are changing direction, and now they are going to start propelling you forward. Due season is coming. It’s not time to sit back. It’s not time to let up. It’s time to press forward. It’s time to rise up! Don’t grow weary while doing good. Keep doing good and don’t lose heart because it’s your time, and it’s your season! By faith begin to declare, “2014 is my year! I’m stepping into a new season. I’m letting go of what didn’t work out. I’m putting on a new attitude and enlarging my vision. I’m going to go into this year with a new fire and greater expectancy. I’m pressing forward to step into my season!” Are you ready for a year of greatness?

Before the worlds were ever formed you were chosen. He didn’t create you to be average. He didn’t create you to barely get by. No, He created you to excel! Not only has He chosen you, but He has equipped you with everything you need to live His abundant life. He has deposited seeds of greatness inside every person. But in order to tap into those seeds of greatness, you have to believe this and act on it. Too many people today are going around with low self-esteem, feeling inferior like they don’t have what it takes. They are living a lie. And as long as we have a poor self-image, we’re not going to experience God’s best. In order to be all that God has called us to be, we have to see ourselves as chosen, valuable and victorious. Today, meditate on this truth. Let it sink down deep into your heart. Let it build confidence and security in you. As you understand your value, you’ll rise up higher and higher into the life of victory He has prepared for you. What is it you believe about yourself today?

Greatness Characteristic

You likely have some characteristics that make you unusually unusual. But then again, greatness is never normal. Be great!

Everyone has that little something. That something that makes you unique and different. So much of the time, people try to cover up and hide this characteristic from others. You want to fit in and be like everyone else. However, you were created to be different. You were born with a greatness gene, a greatness characteristic that makes you different from everyone else. Don’t hide your uniqueness any longer. Be different, be who you were created to be today. There is greatness inside of you. You are loaded with purpose. There is a reason for you being born. You have a mission, a destiny to accomplish. The very thing you are wanting to change about you could be the one thing that makes you great. You are a difference maker so use what God has given you to make a difference. Don’t ever be ashamed of how you were created, your characteristics were designed just for you. Are you using your greatness characteristics today?

Life on the edge of greatness is dynamic and ever changing. There is no endpoint, you are always striving to be the best you can be.

I want to remind you of what God says about you. No matter what’s happening in your life today, remember: you are not limited by your resources, your family or your background. God has equipped and empowered you. He has given you creativity, ideas, inventions, skills and talents. Don’t you dare settle for a mediocre life! Today, bring out the seeds of greatness inside of you. Your best days are ahead. You are going to go further than anyone in your family ever did; that you are going to dream bigger and live higher.
