Plan of Action

We are in the last week of this year.  I am expecting great things not just in 2011 but in this week.  My expectation, hope, and desires are as high as they ever have been in my life.  Not wishing, but true hope.

As I have said; I truly believe this next year is going to be yours and my best ever.  For that to happen we have to do our part. As we start this last week, there is no time like right now to look to our part.  We have to have a plan for the year, but we have to execute that plan. It is not enough to just have an outline, a game plan, but we have to put that plan into motion.  We have to execute the plan.  We have to be disciplined in our plan.  We have to be flexible in our plan.  We have to listen to that inner voice that tells us when we are on track and when we have lost our focus.  It is not as difficult as it sounds.  We all know that voice deep inside, not in our head, the voice that speaks peace to us.  Don’t be discouraged by anything that has happened or is happening, but be hopeful, full of courage, full of love, full of expectation, and desire as we begin this last week and head into the new year.  Your destiny is closer than you can imagine. Be prepared for a great year!

Wait Up

This time of the year I hear folk talking about how they are so tired.  Folk are wore out from the holidays.  There is a verse that says; those that wait on the Lord will renew their strength.

That verse goes on to talk about the young and the old both being strong.  There is strength available for our spirit, soul and body.  To be a person of destiny we must be strong in all areas.   There will be times we are tired, but we can and will be renewed when we wait on the Lord.  That word wait doesn’t mean we sit around and do nothing, but like a waiter or waitress, we serve.  When we serve God we are renewed.  When we serve others we are renewed.  To be a person of destiny it means we are servants, so renewing is for you.  If you are serving but are not being renewed, check your motives, agendas, and who it is you are serving.  Also, make sure you are serving Jesus first, then others.  Be a servant and see your strength renewed daily.

Getting Closer

I was overwhelmed by all the birthday wishes I received on Facebook, texts, and by email.  I quite counting at 200.  There is another birthday that I am overwhelmed by too; Jesus.

The closer we get to Christmas and the New Year the more excited I am getting.  I can just feel the changes that are coming.  I really and truly believe that 2011 is going to the beginning of something awesome.  More and more folk are going to start discovering and living in their destiny.  There will be positive life changing experiences taking place in our lives.  We will find that we are in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing, for the right reasons.  When this begins to happen this world will turn right side up.  I am excited about your destiny and what is in store of you.  When we get the pride, unforgiveness, selfishness, insecurities and fear out of our lives then destiny will begin to come alive in us.  It is an exciting and exhilarating time to be alive.  Just a few more days to get ourselves in position mentally, physically and spiritually for what is coming.  Don’t be on the outside looking in; get in today! Your destiny awaits!

Forgiveness and Love

We hear quite often that we must have excellence.  I have written about having excellence in everything that you do.  However, if we don’t love as our motivation we won’t have excellence.  Love and forgiveness are must in our lives.

You want to live your destiny you must have forgiveness and love.  You want to have excellence in your life then you must have forgiveness and love.  You want to be blessed in your life then you got to have forgiveness and love.  I think you see the common theme going on here.  If you are going to be positive and live in such a way that stress can’t attach itself to you; then you got it, forgiveness and love.  To forgive and to love are both giving and serving.  We can’t be selfish if we have both of these determining our decisions.  As we end the year; make sure that forgiveness and love are dominant in our life.  Excellence is something we all want, but will we forgive quickly and completely.  It is part of the process of living our destiny.  Forgiveness and love; vital components of our lives.

A Giving Spirit

I suppose it being Christmas I should write something about the Christmas Spirit and all that comes with it.  So this will be one that deals with Christmas Spirit; the spirit of giving to others.

This cannot be the only time of year that we, folk of destiny, have a giving spirit.  If you are destiny minded then you are in a giving spirit all the time, every day.  You are the gift that you give.  You have a gift inside of you and when you give yourself then you are giving that gift.  That is one reason that I am making a gift of my book Embrace Your Destiny.  I think it is important enough to get that gift to folk that I don’t want income from it.  You have a gift in you; what is your gift? What should you be giving every day? It may start with a smile, a pat on the back, or some other form of encouragement.  When we give the gift that God has given us, don’t look for immediate return or reward. Think of it as planting a seed.  Wait for it to grow and mature.  Give the gift that never stops giving; the gift inside of you.  You are very gifted and awesome. I appreciate you very, very much.

Getting Right

I have said several times how excited I am about the new year.  There are things lining up and getting into place that are going to change your and my lives forever. I am pumped about it.

We all have been through situations in this past year that have prepared us for what is coming next in our destiny.  You may have cussed those times, but they have formed and molded you into the champion that you are right now.  Never despise the tough, hard and difficult times because out of them champions are developed.  The things you been through in the past year, most folk would have lost their mind, but you have prevailed and accepted the challenges.  You are a person of destiny.  You have courage, honor, humility and persistence in you.  You are going to be in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing, the right way, with the right folk in 2011.  Stay focused, stay on course, stay in a destiny mindset.  It is coming and coming soon! Get ready for it.  2011 is going to be far above and beyond anything you have ever dreamed of or imagined.

Lessons From The Nutcracker

Melissa, Gloria and I went to see the Nutcracker Friday night at the Bama Theater.  It was the first time I had ever seen it.  I think it’s the first time I have ever been to the ballet.  The dancers were amazing.

The focus that the dancers displayed was awesome.  The focus to train their gift and talent of dance is incredible.  There are hours and hours of practice, eating right, and study that goes into being able to perform at that level.  The same goes for us that might not be dancers, but we are all folk of destiny.  We have a gift and talent that we have to sharpen.  The only way to do this is to focus on our destiny.  When we focus on our destiny we are in a sense serving other, because our destiny is all about other folk.  Our gift and talent is not about us; it about serving others.  One thing that stood out to me was that dancers were smiling.  All through their perform they had a smile on their face.  When we are operating in our gift and talent, no matter how difficult the task may be we too can have a smile on our face. The smile comes from the peace we have knowing we living our destiny.  Day five of our destiny quest to end the decade.  Still excited about the upcoming year and all that it brings to us and what we offer to it.

What's In Your Wallet

There is a commercial that asks,”What is in your wallet?” As we move into day three of our destiny quest into 2011; I want to ask a question.  “What is in your heart”?  That is the next step to an awesome New Year.

We can be doing all the right things but if our heart, our motives, and our agendas aren’t right then we are still wrong.  For some just doing the right thing some of the time is enough.  For others, doing the right thing if it serves them good is enough.  For the rest, doing the right thing, the right way, and for the right reason is the only way.  The third group is the group of destiny folk.  Check your motives, agendas, and reasons.  Make sure they are pure and wholesome.  I can speak from personal experience that I have done the right thing but for the wrong, selfish reasons and it always crashed in on me.  Wrong motives and agendas will always lead to disaster in some form or fashion.  Trust me on this one, I know.  I ask everyday, “God check my heart and make sure that its right and all that I am doing is for the right reason and show me the right way.”  Selfishness still tries to step in and do its part, but I am learning.

I am so expectant about your destiny, purpose and future going into 2011.  I feel like a little boy at Christmas! I know there is going to be some awesome things happen to you in the near future.  I can’t wait to hear about them! Prepare for the best!

Open Your Gift

There are so many things going through my mind in regards to the upcoming year and all that comes with it.  I have never been this excited about a new year.  However, this coming year will be like none other.

The first step we have to take is getting our anticipation level; our hope, our excitement level up.  Don’t look at next year as just another year, but look at it as the greatest year of your life.  2011 will be the most life changing and rewarding year of your life.  Don’t settle for average.  You are not average; so why shoot for average, just getting by in life.  You are unique, awesome and incredible.  You have amazing gifts and talents that you have not unwrapped yet.  Just like we do at Christmas time and birthday time; unwrap the gift that is inside you.  I am doing just that this year.  My birthday falls in the week of Christmas, which I never liked, but this year is different.  I will unwrap my birthday and Christmas gifts, but this year I will also unwrap my destiny gift.  In 2011 let’s put to use the gift that God has given us.  Make 2011 the greatest year ever! Open heaven in 2011.  Step one then is seeing the gift in you and by using your gift you will sky rocket past average.  I encourage you to bring someone with you. Get this blog to them. Encourage them. Together we will make a difference.

What's Your Problem

We will be remembered for one of two things; the problems we caused or the problems that we solved.  Which way are you going to be remembered?

You were created with the ability to solve a problem.  There is someone or a group of someone’s that has a situation, a problem, that you were created to solve.  That basically is what destiny is all about.  Sounds very simple, but if it were so simple wouldn’t we all be solving that problem?  The hitch in this is that some folk seem to be created to cause problems; which in reality is not true.  However, there are folk that have caused me and you problems in life.  We will remember them for that problem.  There are people too that have solved problems in our life and we will never forget them either.  I really want to be a problem solver; not a problem creator or even a problem spotter.  Creators and spotters are not destiny minded; at least not in the sense of a problem solver.  In the Bible, Daniel was a solver of knotty problems. That is my goal.  Will you be remembered as a spotter or a solver? The choice is yours today.  Choose solver!
